Colouring with Cats #8 ~ Getting Your OM on with Mandalas on Mondays!

Monday greetings chillaxed chums

We know that mew know what time it is....

It's time to get your OM on, so let's begin the week
on a supurr chilled and tranquil vibe to get those Zen Harmonies happening fur a stress-free and uber relaxed time till the weekend arrives.

We'll start with our little breathing exercise, purrlease take deep fulfilling breaths; counting to five on the inhale and five on the exhale:

Breathe in
Breathe out

Breathe in
Breathe out

Breathe in
Breathe out

Let all the frustrations of:

Somepurrdy's just pooped in the last clean litter tray, not enough room in front of the fire, and no where near enough outside time... let it go... let it all go... surrender it all like a week old bowl of kibble that effurypurrdy's avoided since day three and toss it out the window fur the burds... just let go and breathe... and say OMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

As mew can see a group om-ming sesh is rather beneficial fur raising the frequencies fur a better quality of zen harmonies, the more the merrier is what we say, and if mew'd like to schedule a group session with us, feel free to drop us a line.   Sometimes trying to find your zen harmonies when feeling most frazzled can be rather difficult, this way can help get mew on the path of zen-ness with oodles of harmonies following soon aftur.

Are mew smiling yet?

The Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 171 ~ Happy Thanks Giving from Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Love is Being Owned By A Husky & Barking from the Bayou

Friday greetings pawesome pals

Welcome to another fabulous Pet Parade and we hope mew all had a truly splendid Thanksgiving!

We've had no news yet on the Time Travelling Bobble Hat, so we don't know if it's reached the paws of The Florida Furkids, we're hoping so as we're building a list of supurr kitties that want to purriticipate.

In other news, Smoochie had his appointment on Tuesday with the Kitty Shrink which went well, and we've determined that an unknown cat [we've named him Tiger] coming into the garden and courtyard is causing some of his distress, howeffur the other places he has piddled is more of a toileting issue rather than a marking-up issue.  So the 6 litter trays we have in two different rooms are now going to split so there are more options around the home.

Also we're putting temporary frosting on the french doors in the kitchen and patio doors in the lounge to restrict Smoochie's view of Tigers comings and goings at ground level and also, our supurr cozy bed under the carport has to go as Tiger thinks this is his.

The P.A. witnessed the above the other morning as she was leaving, Smooch in the french doors watching Tiger leave....

and the next day here he is... again...

Tiger seems like a really nice cat,  he's not really peep furriendly, so the P.A. does not try to engage him, and also she thinks by encouraging him Smoochie's little purroblem will escalate, because from what we've determined every time Tiger is on the place Smoochie piddles on something.  So the equation is this:

Tiger outside = Smoochie piddling downstairs

The P.A. doesn't like the maths much, so the kitty shrink advised that she temporarily cover our supurr cozy teddy bear snuggle pit up with a tarpaulin and then she's going to make him a new bed next door at her cousins house and try to get him to stay around there, as her cousin is feeding him.

Anyhoo, we'll tell mew more in another post and show mew what other measures have been implemented with photo's of course and share more a in-depth post.

If mew missed anything this week, here's the latest links fur your purrusal!

We'll be back with our usual Selfie Selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then.

In the meantime we wish mew all a truly amazing weekend

Happy Hopping

Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #20 The Good, The Bad & The Furry

Welcome To

With Amber ~ The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Wunderpurr greetings fellow book lovers

Welcome to another Wurdy Wednesday in the Library.

It's been a dreadful week weather-wise, and raining since Monday. In fact it rained so hard that the courtyard flooded so access to the library was cut off unless I wanted to get in the dingy with a life jacket on and paddle across, so I went to Plan B; I got on my furry beanbag and watched the world from the comfort of the lounge and it was pawesome.  The woodburner was supurr toasty and to be honest, I've had the best couple of days.

Smoochie had his appointment yesterday, but we'll go more in-depth on Friday's post as today it's all about me! MOL

So let's dive into this weeks book pick.

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

The Good, The Bad & The Furry

by

Tom Cox

Here's a little of the book blurb:

Meet THE BEAR - a cat who carries the weight of the world on his furry shoulders, and whose wise, owl-like eyes seem to ask, Can you tell me why I am a cat, please?
And then there's Tom, writing with his usual wit and charm about the unexpected adventures that go hand in hand with a life at the beck and call of four cats . . . or three cats and a sensitive poet who just happens to be a foot high and covered in fur.

Before I begin, I must relay a warning when listening to the audio version of this book:

DO NOT LISTEN TO WHILE OPERATING MACHINERY OR DRIVING A VEHICLE

Why? I hear mew ask, well the P.A. said she wanted to listen to this, so I let her borrow my ipod fur the day.  She connected it to her car and began listening to the book. A short way into the book she was laughing so hard she had tears running down her face, and had to pull offur in a lay-by and take five. Needless to say, the book was switched off until she was safely back at home.

Ok, so my thoughts while I listened as I lay on my beanbag; totally pawesome, really, really funny in places, especially the authors' father and the toad in his shoe, falling asleep on the compost heap and his reply to his son at the end of every conversation, which due to bad language I won't repeat here, but it's too, too funny.  There were so many Meowing-Out-Loud scenes that I lost count!

So if you need some humour in your life get this, seriously get it but get the audio version as the narrator takes it to another level.  I don't think I would have found it quite so humorous if I was actually reading the hard-copy.

Paperback copy: 288 pages

Audio Edition: 5 hours 51 mins long

I do hope mew enjoy this novel and if mew've read it already, tell me did mew like it?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time!

Happy reading or listening
