PARSLEY'S 14TH BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!! OH MY COD ~ The Epically Epic BBHQ TANK PAWTY on LEVEL 9

Welcome to another utterly epic BBHQ pawty as mew dive into Parsley’s 14th Birthday Tank Pawty on Level 9 of the bunker. Expect the unexpected, and so much fun mew won't catch your breath!

Parsley's 14th Birthday Extravaganza!

A couple of months ago, we found Parsley in the BBHQ R&D* Lab (*Research and Development) on level 2 and asked if he wanted to celebrate his upcoming birthday at the new Meowsney Theme Park on level 17 of the bunker. He replied:

"Dudes, come on now... and no, I don't want a Motor Muster either! Look, they were both epically legendary events, but I want something that's a little more me!"

"Oh," I said, as I rubbed my chin. "I didn't expect that."

Smooch nudged me and whispered in my ear. "Basil, remember *the tank incident."

It took me a moment to recall said incident, and then my mental sunrise happened like a meautiful vision.

I grinned and whispered back. "Meet me in my office and bring Humphrey, fifteen minutes stat."

Parsley sat behind the desk, his white lab coat looking like something noxious had exploded all over it (it probably had). 

"No worries, dude, we can see mew're busy," I said, backing out of the door and closing it gently.

There was a muffled boom from inside. I opened the door again and saw Parsley covered in orange slime. He gave me the paws up, so I closed the door and left him to it.

*It might be a good idea to go and refresh yourselves on the Tank Incident.

After a rather pawsitive brainstorming session in my office, precisely fifteen minutes and forty-five seconds later, Humphrey strode out of the door with the biggest grin on his face I'd seen in a while.

After Humphrey headed down to the garage on level 2, Smooch said to me, 

"Basil, do mew think that was wise?"

"Fluff no, but it'll be epic fun!" I laughed, then added, "I need to find Deezul. Is he back from his holidays yet? We've got a bit of terraforming to do."

 Humphrey tapped his comms unit. "Basil, do mew have a minute? I'm in the garage."

"Sure," I replied, "I'll be right there."

A few minutes later, Humphrey buzzed me into the sealed bay. 

I stepped inside and saw THE BEAST.

"What the fluff is that?" I said, my eyes not moving from the sleek black war machine in front of me.

"Basil, meet Petunia. Petunia, meet Commander Basil."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Commander," Petunia said rather cheerfully.

"Mew gave the tank A.I.?"

"Of course," Humphrey beamed at me. "A necessary safety feature, just in case Parsley decides to do something, let's say, not on the programming schedule. Petunia will override any inherently foolish notions..."

"Are mew sure he won't reprogramme her?"

"Nope, Petunia is safe from any tinkering," Humphrey laughed, then said. "P.E.T.U.N.I.A. stands for Parsley’s Epic Tank Universal Navigation & Intelligence Assistant."

"Thank fluff for that," I smirked. "I don't want another quarry incident with an artistically rearranged tank and a tablecloth being used as a parachute, and a memo about no cup holders again."

"Basil, dude, seriously, mew think I haven't factored all that in? Take a look at the specs."

"Dude," I said after perusing everything. "I think mew've seriously outdone yourself!"

"Oh, mew're too kind," Humphrey chuckled. "How's level 9 coming along? Are we ready?"

"Oh yes, Deezul has done a tremendous job," I replied. "And Smooch, Fudge and Melvyn have been building the mini tanks in secret."

LEVEL 9 - The Tactical Tank Adventure Park

Just look at this!

"Well," I said to Humphrey, after we'd explored the newly terraformed ten-acre tank park. "I think we're ready."

"Mew get the birthday cat to level two in one hour for the big reveal and then the fun can begin," Humphrey said. "After that we'll head down here for the pawty."

The Birthday Surprise 

I headed to the R&D Lab where Parsley was working on some weird project, and I said, 

"Dude, have mew got a minute?"

"Sure, Basil, what's up?"

"Mew do know what day it is, right?" I asked.

"Er... Sunday?"

"Dude, mew need to get out of this lab more; it's Monday," I said with a grin. "Mew know which Monday?"

He looked at the calendar on the desk.

"Fluff me, it's my birthday!"

"Get that lab coat off and come with me!" I grinned.

He looked a little worried.

"Dude, mew're going to love this!" I said.

We headed out into the corridor and walked along towards the garage door. Opening it, I said, "Step inside and keep your eyes closed."

I guided him through the massive hangar, past all the military vehicles and towards the far corner, where The B Team were waiting.

"Okay," I said, stopping. "One... two ... three... open your eyes!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARSLEY!!!!"

For a second Parsley didn't speak... his eyes were focused on Petunia.

"Are mew okay, dude?" I asked, putting my paw on his shoulder.

"I... I... don't know what to say," he choked the words out.

Humphrey said, "Parsley, I made your dreams come true and built mew the purrfect tank."

"Nah, that's not for me," Parsley said, taking a step back. "Not after I drove Basil's..." 

"Dude," I said. "Who cares? That was then; this is now and here's your fluffing tank!"

"Meet Petunia," Humphrey said.

"Petunia," Parsley whispered.

"Yes, she's the tank A.I."

"Oh my cod!" Parsley said as he glided a paw over the sleek, black metal beast.

"Hello Parsley," Petunia said. "It's great to meet you at last. I've heard so much about you."

"No fluffing way!" Parsley laughed. "Hello, Petunia, where have mew been all my life?"

He walked around inspecting every inch, then climbed up and peered inside.

"There's a swivel chair..." he gasped. "Oh my cod, it's got a cup holder and parachutes... oh mew guys, I don't know what to say. This is the best present ever, ever, ever!"

He jumped down and hugged everyone, and wiped his eyes with a hanky Posie offered. 

"This is the most epic birthday ever," he said. "I love mew guys, mew're the best."

"Are you ready for more?" Smooch smirked.

"Yeah, come on, dude, this pawty hasn't even started yet," Fudge said. "Everypawdy in the elevator, level nine here we come!"

 

THE PAWTY

The elevator pinged, and the doors swooshed open on level 9.

"Laser quest?" Parsley beamed as he looked at the door opposite.

"Nah," I said. "Walk this way."

We laughed and joked as we headed along the corridor towards another door.

Fudge stood proudly by the green ribbon and gave Parsley scissors.

"Cut the ribbon, dude!" Smooch said.

"Yeah, cut the ribbon!" Melvyn laughed. "Quick!"

Parsley snipped, and the ribbon fluttered to the floor.

The doors opened, and Parsley's legs wobbled; he grabbed Fudge. "What... what... what the fluff is this?"

Snowie said, "Paradise for tanks!"

"Ready for the best pawty mew've ever had?" Posie smiled.

"Parsley, mew haven't seen anything yet," Amber patted him on the shoulder.  

We stepped into the ten-acre park and scrambled for the mini tanks to start the race... 

Of course, we let Parsley win; it's his birthday! MOL

I was in charge of the DJing for a while as the rest of the heathens pawtied on! MOL

LET'S PAWTY!

Well, what more can we say other than thank mew all for joining us for Parsley's birthday. Stay as long as mew want; the pawty will last all week... more than likely... probably!!! Mew know what we're like! 

Pandora will be here in the morning with September's Meow'o'Scope, for mew to see what's in store for the month ahead.
