The other day the P.A. stayed home as it was such a beautiful sunny day, anyhoo guess what? We didn't get to go outside!!! Can mew believe that... she got her deck chair on the patio and got herself nice and comfy, we know because we could see her through the patio doors. Honestly we couldn't believe the selfishness of it, there she was snoozing in the sunshine without a care in the wurld and we were stuck indoors...tsk...tsk...tsk, and I was really miffed about it!
Later when she finally remembered we were here, she said and I quote,"Sorry guys but I wasn't going to be chasing aftur Fudge every three seconds."
I gave her my bestest quizzical look and replied. "Seriously, that's your excuse, we had to stay inside because of him!"
"Basil," she said. "You know what he's like if he's out with everyone, he's up a tree, stuck in a tree, on the roof, getting stuck on the roof, racing over the fence into next-doors garden, harassing the birds... you know he can't sit still and I wanted an hour in the garden without constantly chasing the ginger ninja around like a helicopter mum."
"Oh," I answered thoughtfully. "Well next time, let me out and leave him in!"

Yeah, if he's the bad one, he should have stayed inside while the rest of you got to enjoy outdoor time! That seems to be the more practical choice.

DeleteReally? She did that! Mind you sometimes peeps need the down time else they get cranky and then forget things like supper and such like, and treats at bed time. Hmm, I think you should set up a VR suite in the lower levels and leave Fudge to it. That way you can have your own OUT time too! MOL

DeleteBasil, we know you and your family are keenly aware of what a sad time we have all had losing so many wonderful friends, including your new angels, Snowie and Humphrey. If Mom went out in the yard and didn't let Fiona go with her, she would sit on the catio and whine. Mom says she can certainly understand your mom wanting an hour of piece and quiet. Fudge sounds like a bit of a hooligan. Basil, we never tire of seeing your adorable heart-shaped nose. Mom is blowing a big kiss to you and hope it lands right there. DeleteI can totally relate, Basil. The sun finally showed up over the weekend here & Mom went outside a couple of times in it, but didn't take me with! I even climbed up the screen & sounded my "Mew Mew!" I looked her right in the eyes through the mesh I was hanging on to, but she ignored all that! I heard her say, "I might take you for a stroll if it warms up." But you know what? She never did! ERK!
