Feline Fiction on Fridays #90 at Amber's Library featuring **Cat Got Your Diamonds** by Julie Chase

Welcome To

With Amber ~ The Best Library Kitty in the entire Mewton~Clawson Parish

Supurr salutations pawesome furriends

Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library

Many apologies fur my absence last week, the local Kitty History Society asked at rather short notice if they could use my library as their venue, due to a double booking at the local Village Hall.

So I said, "I'd be thrilled, I'll get the kettle on and sandwiches ready!"

In fact, Buster Frogmore, the lead historian of the M.C.H.S. [Mewton-Clawson Historical Society] said he thought my library was much better than the Village Hall and asked if they could use it again next month and they want to pay too, which is even better as that means more new books fur me! MOL

And speaking of which, I think it's time to share this week's top book pick.

This week I'm sharing

Cat Got Your Diamonds

by

Julie Chase

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Grandeur and opulence are everything in the famed New Orleans Garden District where pets are family and no bling is too big.

>^.^<

I started off not loving this book, as it was furry formulaic, but as the narrator continued I found myself really enjoying it, though similar to many others in the Cat Cozy Mystery genre, it did have its own purrsonality in the end.

It was funny in parts, although there was no cat as such in this story until the very end, so I'll check out book 2 and see if that's changed in March when the audio version is released.

There are three books so far in the series, and it would be nice if there are more in the future.

Would I recommend it to mew?  Yes, if you love the cozy mystery vibe, I can't see why mew wouldn't enjoy this series.

I do hope mew enjoy this series if mew decide to give it a try...

...and if mew've read it already, what did mew think?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just fur mew. And don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Happy reading or listening until next time

Bookish purrs

  3. I am glad the book got better for you as you read along, Amber. It was a big honour of the M.C.H.S. to use your library, and even more so to want to use it again and pay you for it.

    1. Hiya MK, BC & EM, ahhhh the trick is to multitask and listen to the audio versions, although I do still read several 'real' books a month only a lot of those aren't suitable fur here as they're not cat related! MOL Purrs Amber xox

    1. Guys, it's a travesty not having the time to read, I know how mew feel hence the audio versions, although I do leave or put jobs off to read a real book as I feel its a great way to chill and relax. Purrs Amber xox

  8. Great you guys let the village use your library, Amber, but do make sure you keep tabs on who's using it else you'll have the young mums and kittens moving in and we all know what that will mean! Yup cream covered sticky pawpads over all your books! ;) Mol

  9. Reading in greneral seems to be coming a lost art/pastime. Sadly enough.

Including the petcretary, she used to gobble up books and othe r materail, but now like others she hardly has time to read...event the newspaper gets put on the back burner.

That sounds like a charming book:)

    1. Hi guys, yes, it doesn't appear to be fashionable anymore, although mew'd neffur guess given the amount of authors there are! It is hard to find time though to actually sit with a book these days with effurything going on... that's why we're taking things a lot slower on line at the moment! Purrs Amber xox
