Welcome To
With Amber ~ The Best Library Kitty in the entire Mewton~Clawson Parish
*waves paw*
Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library
Mew may remember a long, long time ago we reviewed an amazing catnip teabag from the fab company Freakmeowt... it was in 2015, but anyhoo they make the most wunderful catnip toys, and the other day while we were purrusing instacat we saw they were making a special Koala called Karl and donating all of the proceeds towards anipals in need from the horrific bush fires still raging in Dads homeland of OZ.
Of course, we bought one immediately, and this is what happened when Karl arrived at BBHQ.
Fudge thought he was epic, and the furst meeting was furry civilized. Though my initial encounter with Karl was slightly more slobbery - OOPS sorry Karl!
No, I'm not trying to snort him up my nose, really!
I lurve mew Karl!
>^.^<
There are many anipal charities in OZ that need help, we did a quick google search and found these, though there are many, many more:
IFAW
The WWF
We already support The WWF and IFAW, but we thought we'd see if we can raise a little bit extra cash, so for every comment below we'll put £1.00 into a pot, so do leave a comment and help to raise some funds to send to Animals Australia today. Our target is £30.00.
Next week we'll also be doing a little impromptu giveaway to raise some more funds for another one of the above charities, so stay tuned for that.
And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.
This week I'm sharing
Cats on the Job
by
Lisa Rogak
Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:
In recent years, dogs have received attention for performing tasks such as sniffing out cancer, helping hospital patients recover, and serving in our military. But cats have not been sitting idly by. Indeed, felines of all stripes are earning their keep in a surprising variety of jobs.
>^.^<
So what did I think to Cats on the Job? I thought it was amazing, if I didn't already have such a supurr vocation here at BBHQ, this would be my go-to book for career inspo.
If mew're lacking direction in your life, or need a new wurk vibe, then this is just for mew. 50, yes 50 hardwurking kitties show mew what they do; from acting to reiki, even fast-food employees, and not furgetting a weather cat! These cats are breaking into effury industry and loving it.
A thoroughly enjoyable read with such inspirational kitties. I totally recommend this book just to see some of the jobs and to look at the supurr cute pictures too!
I can sum up in one wurd ~ BRILLIANT!
