Hello meautiful library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and I must say it's been lovely weather the last few days. In fact, it was rather sweaty in the catservatory, so I had to go into the sitting room to cool off!
Anyhoo, what books have mew been reading this week?
Apart from this week's top pick, I've also reread these:
Betrayals by Lili St Crow Bk 2 Strange Angels
Jealousy by Lili St Crow Bk 3 Strange Angels
It's been a bit of a slow reading week for me, but I do have weeks when I just snooze instead! MOL
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. Life is too short to tolerate _______________________.
2. _________________gives me hope.
3. I’ve been feeling _________ because _________.
4. I’m well aware that my _________ is a bit odd.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. Life is too short to tolerate being around people or places you don't like.
2. Writing gives me hope. Hope that I can create fun, exciting and entertaining cat adventures, the like of which, no one else writes.
3. I’ve been feeling tired because of the stupid, fluffing menopause.
4. I’m well aware that my life is a bit odd. But I like it that way! LOL
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
Wicked Days
An Ivy Morgan Mystery Book 1
by
Lily Harper Hart
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Have a witch of a good time …
Ivy Morgan is happy with who she is, and what she can do. She certainly doesn’t need to second guess her life, or her witchy ways ... that is until Shadow Lake’s newest police detective enters her life.

This week, I read Wicked Days, the first book in the Ivy Morgan Mystery series by Lily Harper Hart. The book follows Ivy, a confident witch who is content with her life, until the arrival of Jack Harker, the new police detective in town. Jack is haunted by his past and is not interested in any romantic entanglements, especially with a sassy witch like Ivy.
Things get interesting when a dead body is found on Ivy's property, and Jack and Ivy keep crossing paths during the investigation. Despite Jack's initial reluctance, he can't help but feel drawn to Ivy's charm. The story has suspense, humour, and a touch of romance.
Ivy is a strong and likeable character who holds her own against Jack's brooding personality. Their chemistry in the story is undeniable, and it was interesting to see how they navigated their relationship while solving the mystery.
This is a fun book, although the cat doesn't play an integral role in the book, which I thought he did when I saw the book cover - and what a cute cover, it was my sole reason for buying it! MOL
That aside, it's a good read—a light romance with a moderate paranormal twist. I have the next two books ready to go, as I purrchased them as a box set, which saved some of my audible credits for other books, as mew know I need a lot of credits.
And even though there was not really any major catty action, I still found it very enjoyable, and it would make a purrfect Sunday afternoon read.
Try it!

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time, and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Until next time...
Keep calm and read more books
