Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Happy Wednesday, fluffy furiends, here's hoping your midweek is utterly epic!
The weather is still all over the place, warm, hot, cooler, showers, wind, no wind, mew get the picture. The good news is there's been a little more rain, still not enough to really make a difference to the Serengeti, which the BBHQ garden has become this summer, but better than nothing. So all in all, a total mixed bag of a little bit of everything! MOL
Cat dad finished building the actual deck. Sorry, there are no photos this week. There are a few minor things to finish, so we'll share when those have been completed, but we will say it looks pretty epic right now.
Here are this week's flower offerings. First up is the spiky pale pink dahlia. The colour in real life is stunning, as the pink morphs into a delicious lemon yellow colour, ah, Mother Nature, isn't she EPIC!
Look at this white standard rose, it's gorgeous!
We mentioned this rose earlier in the summer, as it was the one that Cat Dad slaughtered, sorry, pruned rather brutally. The P.A. thought they were dead, but no, the two standards had far more gumption than that and came back better than ever!
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Fudge Under The Gazebo
Fudge enjoyed his afternoon under the gazebo. It was a bit overcast, so he got snuggled next to the P.A. and listened to her rambling on about not getting the rose arch installed. He kept nodding in the appropriate places before he finally fell asleep from boredom! MOL
Next up in the news
Melvyn's Supurr Sunny Sunspot
Melvyn was really enjoying himself in the catservatory the other morning; he found a lovely sunspot to bathe in!
Finally this week
Smooch's Not A Happy Camper
Smooch was not a happy camper; it would appear that he's rather annoyed that the weather has cooled somewhat and there have been intermittent showers ruining his garden pawtrols!
Apparently, he's asked Humphrey to create a weather machine so we get the purrfect micro-climate at BBHQ all year round! MOL
Today's Really Random Photo
Snowie's Like A Fluffy Cloud
Wow, this one's a real oldie; it was back in about 2004.
Snowie was such a gorgeous girl, and this is one of our all-time favourite photos of her, when she was on the back fence and looked like a little fluffy cloud as she bipped along! MOL
And if mew want more Snowie content, she was this week's guest on Behind the Floof. Just click the link in the next section to read more.
We'll be back again on Friday, so do join us then, as mew know how much we love your company, and can mew guess where Amber's postcard comes from this week?.

Messing with the weather isn't really a good idea, no one would want rain on their birthday and then it would never rain anywhere and look at the fix we'd be in.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are a delight and your photos are awesome, I pray you get just enough rain to help your garden with not a drop too much.
Incredible flowers and of course incredible selfies of lovely kitties, one and all. We have the dry now and the grass is brown and the soy beans are turning yellow. All signs of Autumn soon. So cold in the morns at 8 C.
ReplyDeleteLove all the garden and kitty pictures today!
ReplyDeleteMom and I LOVE theGarden and all the pictures of the inhabitants! Melvyn...instead of sunbathing I have still been UTB for the morning. BUT I do come out in the afternoon to bathe. Smooch...we all have to learn to deal. But I understand completely how you feel. Snowie...wow! You are absolutely peerless!
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers and I love your kitties. I love you, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to their mom. ♥

Such pretty flowers and wonderful photos! Hey, when is the deck party?
ReplyDeleteWow, the garden is so beautiful. Look at all those amazing flowers (that dahlia is EPIC)! We loved seeing Melvyn, Fudge Under The Gazebo, and Smooch (even if he's not a happy camper)! And we adore that photo of Snowie like a cloud. It's purrfect. XO
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms. And great photos of all of you. XO
ReplyDeleteNothing bluming here.
ReplyDeleteI wish our front porch would be rehabbed into a deck like affair, to make it more useable. Right now its just a porch...blah! And our back porch which is a very miniature deck should be enlarged and extended to make a lovely sitting area...but there are two problems: Our bodies are not young anymore and the budget doesn't have a slot for this at all...
ReplyDeleteOur patio pots are getting all scraggly, but not for lack of water, they are stressed from all the hots we had in July and early August.
Even our dahlias are not enjoying themselves. Your pink one is gorgeous!
The photos of everyone and the flowers are lovely. We have had rain the last week or so, torrents of it! It has been so heavy it has caused widespread flooding, but too heavy to benefit the garden. In fact, the rain along with the strong wind has taken off the rose petals which are now strewn all over the garden.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers and lovely photos of you all.x๐ฝ๐⬛๐๐พ๐
