The Sunday Selfies and Caturday Art Blog Hops at BBHQ **FEATURING** Fudge's Garden Stroll Selfie

Welcome to BBHQ on this delightful Sunday!

We drew straws this week to see who got to feature, and BBHQ's ginger ninja won, so he chose a throwback selfie from 2019! 

Fudge's Garden Stroll Selfie


An orange tabby cat named Fudge strolls confidently across a lush, sunlit lawn, his tail lifted and fur glowing warmly in the afternoon light. Behind him rises a dense border of tall foxgloves, their pink and purple bell‑shaped flowers forming a vibrant wall of colour that frames the garden. The scene captures a peaceful moment outdoors, with Fudge mid‑step as he explores the bright, blooming space for his Sunday Selfies feature.

As he wanted to share this one to remind the P.A. that the foxgloves were a literal forest back then... then something happened... the P.A. had an accident in 2019 and was literally fluffed for months, so she got a gardener in to help as she was unable at that time to do the garden as she normally would.

She specifically instructed the gardener not to cut the foxgloves in the photo, not to touch them, and not to go near them under any circumstances; they had finished flowering and were going to seed.

She went to her hospital appointment and came back, and the gardener had cut all the foxgloves off to the ground; yep, it was a foxglove slaughter.

We can't repeat what the P.A. said as we're furmily friendly, but she was livid... anyhoo, since then the foxglove population, sadly, has been quite sparse at BBHQ.

But she did find some seeds the other day in the potting shed; they've been there forever, but maybe, just maybe, they might be ok, and now she has a plan! MOL

It's been very warm again the last few days; the temperature did drop but then climbed again, but so it goes!

So later on this afternoon/early evening we're going snoopervise the P.A. in the garden while she does a bit of watering and stuff, but in the meantime we're going to stay indoors getting our fur ruffled with the fans! MOL

    Fudge, we love your selfie and the ephemeral artwork created from it. That's terrible about what the gardener did to those beautiful foxgloves. We are so sorry. That kind of happened here, too. For some unknown reason, our landscapers hacked up our hosta. :(
