The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **OMC THE YUCCA DID IT AGAIN!** ~ Melvyn's In The Shroom, Pandora's Enjoying the Garden, and Fudge's On The Table ~ **PLUS** ROBIN!!! MOL

Seven cats sit in a vibrant autumn scene filled with pumpkins, sunflowers, red and orange leaves and fluttering butterflies. A sunset glows behind the forest, scattered newspapers lie among the foliage and one cat shouts from a speech bubble, “Extra! Extra! Read all about it!” The central text announces the Midweek News Round‑Up with The B Team in a bold, seasonal style.
This week on the news: Clement weather, yucca flowers, shrooms, gardens and gazebos!

Epic Greetings, Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, and thank mew for stopping by! Pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable, and let’s catch up on what’s been happening at BBHQ over the past few days.

The Weather Report

We know this is going to sound so terribly boring, but the weather is still the same as last week, it's nice and sunny during the day, high teens to low twenties, so nothing to complain about there. The evenings are still a little cooler but not so much that sitting under the gazebo is off the table.

However, the weather report for the next few days shows temperatures dropping to the mid-teens and single figures at night.

Really, for this time of year, we're feeling blessed!

This Week's Flower Offering

Two tall yucca flower spikes rise in a colourful BBHQ garden, their cream bell‑shaped blooms clustered along warm reddish stems. Bright red and pink flowers, lush green foliage and a white garden bench sit behind them, creating a peaceful, well‑tended outdoor scene.

We can't believe the yucca has produced two huge flower spikes this year, really impressive.

And here's a bit of a secret... **glances around furtively** ...the P.A. hates it... not the flowers; she loves the flowers, but the spiky, aggressive, needle-point leaves... she hates those!

The other day we watched with much amusement as she took the secateurs and snipped the tips off one side; she still has the other to do! MOL

Are there any plants mew don't like in your garden, patio, balcony, home? Do tell, spill the tea!

Anyhoo, here are this week's top headlines.

First up in the news

Melvyn's In The Shroom

Melvyn, a white‑brown-and‑black tabby, is curled up fast asleep inside a soft, pom‑pom‑trimmed mushroom‑shaped cat cave. He’s nestled on a plush pink cushion, surrounded by warm textures and gentle colours, creating a snug and whimsical BBHQ moment for the Midweek News Round‑Up.

Remember last week, when Smooch didn't want the Shroom moving?

Well, it got moved, and Melvyn moved in... OH DEAR!!! MOL

Next up in the news

Pandora's Enjoying the Garden

Pandora, a long‑haired black cat with soft brown and grey highlights, sits peacefully on the bright green lawn, her tail curled neatly at her side. Sunlight warms her glossy fur as she gazes toward the garden hedge, creating a calm and contented BBHQ moment outdoors.

Pandora found the sweet spot on the lawn, dappled shade and no ant nest! MOL

Last week, Parsley had to be gently removed from one...

Finally this week

Fudge's On The Table

Fudge, an orange tabby, stands proudly on a woven tablecloth trimmed with white tassels, beside a rich red‑rose centerpiece and a large cushion. The outdoor patio setting, framed by greenery and warm light, gives the moment a cosy BBHQ vibe as Fudge surveys his domain from atop the table under the gazebo

Fudge decided to see which areas of the sofas were clear from atop the table under the gazebo... he was instantly disappointed...mew can't see, but Parsley was fast asleep at the end of the table on that sofa, all snuggled up among the cushions.

And Smooch was on the sofa to the right, yeah, Fudge was not happy...

The P.A. had to carry him inside for extra treats, then let him snooze on top of Smooch's Shroom!!! MOL

Today's Really Random Photo

I bet mew're thinking that I'd got more bunker pictures for mew today... Sorry, not this week, but click these links if mew want to see what I've shared of the new extension so far:

Today, my lovely readers, I give mew ROBIN!

Tabbies of Trout Towne - Keep Scrolling!

A small robin with a bright orange‑red breast perches on a large piece of wood inside a rustic carport, surrounded by wooden beams and soft natural light that highlights its feathers and the textured timber at BBHQ

This little feathery furiend was under the carport while the P.A. was getting the washing in - yes, we dry everything under here on three front-to-back lines in between the car bays - it's fantastic.

Anyhoo, this is where the swallows nest too, but they departed for Africa last month - we've never seen a robin under here, so the P.A. put out extra snacks at the other end where we keep the bird seed in metal dustbins.

So this little fluffer had a right pile to nom all afternoon! MOL

That's us done for today. Amber will be back on Friday with her first book review of the new season, and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:

I'm glad you are getting good weather and hope you get moisture, too.

Everyone looks happy except Fudge. That floofy tail says it all.

Welcome, Robin! I hope it enjoyed the feast.

    Such floofiness!
It's nice that you helped stock up the birdie with food before flying south.

Wow, that's so cool that the yucca bloomed again! We love all the photos, especially the one of Pandora in the garden. That robin is meautiful, but it looks so different than the robins we have here. Hugs!
