Hello gorgeous library guests

and

Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ

Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and while I was just looking for a cute selfie to share with mew today, I stumbled upon this utterly pawesome throwback of yours truly to January 2010, when I was actually smiling.

Yes, mew heard me right, smiling!

Just look at that, not a hint of crotchtiness anywhere! MOL

In fact, I was quite astounded at how smiley I was back then, but that was before I inherited the Mewton-Clawson Library (M-C-L) and all the responsibilities that came along with such a prestigious job.

Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. The last thing I cooked was _____________________.
2. When I go out to eat, my usual order is __________________.
3. I feel most comfortable when _________.
4. I purchase _________ on a very regular basis.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. The last thing I cooked was spaghetti bolognese with a side of garlic mushrooms and garlic bread. Yes, I was adamant that no vampires were getting near me on Wednesday night! LOL

2. When I go out to eat, my usual order is __________________. Well, it depends where we are eating, for instance; if it's at the teppanyaki place, there's lots of sushi and other delights. If it's at a pub, I love scampi and chips, or if it's Italian, I adore pizza, look, I love food, what can I say! LOL

3. I feel most comfortable lurking at home. Some of that lurking involves avoiding writing at all costs and making completely random stuff instead—my writing avoidance is epic.

4. I purchase cat litter and cat food on a very regular basis. The B Team have excellent appetites and are always looking for seconds. Fudge especially, can have three breakfasts and then try to eat Pandora's, too.

What The Cat Dragged In

Celtic Witch Mysteries Series

 Book 1

by

Molly Milligan

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

The body that turns up in Bron's garden has been there for decades, and he died of natural causes. Just rebury him and carry on as normal, right?

But it's kinda hard to be normal when the ghost of the dead man has been disturbed, and now he want...well, just what does he want?

It's down to Bron, a traditional hedge witch, to find out. If she doesn't, that ghost is going to be lingering in corners and upsetting kitchen chairs for the rest of her life. Creepy, tedious, and noisy, all at the same time.

She's helped by the unexpected arrival of her cousin Maddie from America, who is seeking connection and history in this uncertain age. And there's another mystery - why is this vivacious, friendly young woman so evasive and afraid?

What The Cat Dragged In, Book One in the Celtic Witch Mysteries Series is an absolute treat for paranormal cozy cat mystery lovers!

The book is a delightful blend of humour, suspense, and magic that will keep mew hooked till the very end. The protagonist, Bron, is a traditional witch who has a natural talent for healing animals with the aid of her cat, Harkin who she has a telepathic bond with. When she stumbles upon a body in her herb patch, Bron must put her magical abilities to the test to help the ghost find peace. The book takes mew on a thrilling journey through the Celtic Otherworld and the secrets of the ghost's past. The author weaves old tales into modern problems in a way that feels refreshing and captivating. The characters are quirky, lovable, and relatable, making mew feel like mew're part of the community. Her Aunt and cousin also add another intriguing dimension to the overall plot, which I won't spoilerize for mew. What I loved most about this book is that it's the first in a series of eight books, and mew know how much I love a series. So mew can continue to explore the magical world created by Molly Milligan. The nice thing is, the book can be read as a stand-alone with no cliffhangers, but I can almost guarantee mew'll want to read the rest of the series after finishing this one. This is a must-read for anypawdy who loves paranormal mysteries with a touch of humour and magic. The book is a purrfect way to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon, and immerse yourself in the timeless Welsh mountains. Don't miss out on this delightful adventure!

Also, this title is also available to read for free with Kinde Unlimited.

I really hope mew enjoy the book if mew choose to read it.

It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.

Until next time...

Keep calm and read more books

  4. Amber, it is difficult work being the main librarian. So many asking fur help and reference when you have book reviews to do. Yer PA has great fill ins, Lynn buys hooman foods constantly. The grocery should give her stocks and bonds fur spending so much.
