Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

It's been another warm week at BBHQ, and last week we thought summer was over, but no, it just keeps on giving! MOL 

Sadly, as it was such a wet Spring, the dahlias, which normally are just getting ready to flower in the garden beds around the lawn, have rotted, so there are a few patches which need filling.

But, so it goes, at least the snapdragons are looking nice and colourful, and here's a couple in the courtyard for mew to feast your eyes on.

And yes, Parsley has his own little sign in the garden too! MOL

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week

 Fudge's Purrfect Pose

This was Fudge on Monday evening when he heard that the P.A. had bought some new treats and that he was going to be the chief taste tester! MOL

 Smooch is Chillaxing 

Smooch really loves being in the garden and adores rolling on the lawn. He was doing a spot of serious chillaxing here, with the incredible added benefit of earthing, too!

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

This week Melvyn is modelling the last bandana of July.

Melvyn's modelling took a little twist this week, as he had to stop on the final run to scratch his ear, and don't ask us how his bandana ended up like that!!! MOL

Check out this week's sunspot of the week

It's been really warm again the last few days, so we've been erring on the side of caution and finding sensible sunspots.

This was Pandora early on Monday morning, in the BBHQ courtyard, sitting in the dappled shade of the beautiful acacia tree. 

We don't go out when it's hot, as we prefer to stay inside and have our fur ruffled in all kinds of lovely ways by the cool breeze from the fans.

Mancat Monday at BBHQ ~ Wing Commander Basil's Favourite Part Of The Garden in 2009 **AND DID MEW KNOW THIS?**

Happy Monday Furry Furiends

It's Mancat Monday, and mew know what that means... it's a mancat zone! MOL  

Today I am here sharing all my uber manlycatness, as I don't think I've featured on MCM for years! 

So we're travelling back to the most epically epic year of 2009 when I was in my uber chonk'a'licious era! MOL

Just look at me in my prime, even I can't catch my breath!!!! MOL

MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE GARDEN IN 2009

At BBHQ in the Spring of 2009, the P.A. and Dad did a little landscaping; the installed a lovely wildlife pond for the one resident frog, which mew can just see on the left of the photo, not the frog, the pond.

And on the other side of the path they created a mini stone circle just for cats. It's true, take a look below.

I loved this rock garden more that mew could imagine.

And I spent countless hours that summer relishing in all that stone circle energy! 

Did Mew Know This About Me?

When I first arrived at BBHQ, I'd had four homes in two years, for some unknown reason I kept being returned to the small cat rescue shelter. But I understand why now; it was because I was meant to get to BBHQ, the P.A. and Dad, those other homes were not meant for me, BBHQ was, and the universe in those first two years of my life was orchestrating events to get me to there, and it did.

Mew know I spent many hours on Pawtrol in my life, and not only within the BBHQ compound, but also the field over the fence.  

And some summer evenings, when the moon was full and the air was still, I'd stay out really late and the P.A. would come looking for me down the field and carry me back home.

The P.A. would whistle when she required my presence, but on those hot summer nights, with all the little creatures rustling in the undergrowth, I must admit that I did purposefully ignore her. Hence the scenario above, when I'd be carried home! MOL

And finally,

I really loved cuddles, seriously I know it's hard to believe when mew read all our epic adventures, but I really did love getting snuggled and cuddled with the P.A. and Dad.

Amber's Supurr Cute Selfie on The Sunday Selfies and Caturday Art Blog Hop **PLUS** WHO MADE THE WRONG CAKE?

Welcome to another BBHQ Sunday Selfie, and this week, we thought we'd share a supurr cute throwback selfie of Amber from June 2007, when she was a lot more adventurous and spent a lot more time outside.

This was one of her favourite hang outs back in the day, under the carport on this chair or the sofa.

Now she just languishes on the sofa in the catservatory! MOL

And just look at her eyes, mew can see why she's called Amber, and here's a little secret, when she first arrived at BBHQ, her name was Gizmo!

We just can't get enough of the new BeFunky GFX effects! MOL

We also turned this fab arty-farty picture into a puzzle, so do stop by the puzzle page and take the Puzzle Challenge, see if mew can beat our time of 8 mins 46 secs. 

Anyhoo it's time for us to stay clear of the kitchen as Smooch is on the warpath, apparently the P.A. was supposed to get the ingredients to make a chocolate fudge cake and instead she bought the ingredients to make this cheesecake, and she made it without his knowledge or snoopervison - Oh My Cod - seriously - DO NOT GO IN THE KITCHEN!

And to make matters worse, this was the lemming cheesecake he wanted making a few weeks ago, and the P.A. completely forgot! Jumpin' juniper berries it's going to be exciting at BBHQ today! MOL MOL MOL

We do hope mew have an epic day, and we'll see mew on the morrow with another Mancat Monday post.
