Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

It got a bit exciting at BBHQ the other day. Catdad was trimming the top out of the tree next to the new deck, and oh fluff, there was a hole in the lower part of the trunk about 2 feet off the ground - he knew about it but not how bad it was. Anyhoo, long story short, the fluffing thing collapsed and fell over. We are so blessed it didn't come down in any high winds and damage nextdoors property.

Luckily, no damage was caused other than a few squashed plants and a couple of broken pots, and Catdad is fine. He was taken by surprise to say the least, at the turn of events, but he has the reflexes of a snow leopard and leapt out of the way.

We are sad, as Nanny originally grew the tree from a cutting. So now, instead of having a nicely trimmed tree and the new deck at the side and back, we've got an empty space. The P.A. is rather upset, as her original plans have literally fallen into the mud, so we have no idea what to do with the area now... but the thinking caps are on. 

Oh, and if mew remember in last week's post about the plant dilemma, good news, after the P.A. sent several more emails with pics, a refund is on the way. And if mew're curious about the 5th box of missing plants, yep, it's still missing, and the carrier doesn't know what happened to it other than it got lost!!! 

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week

 Smooch's Visit To The Tyre Shop

Smooch was a bit desperate the other day; if mew hadn't heard, The Mewton-Clawson Annual Car Rally is on in a few weeks. 

Anyhoo, he went to check on his pride and joy, The Red Peril, as he calls it, only to discover his tyres were in shocking shape due to some rather excessive burnouts on the Main Street by Fudge - and no, Smooch doesn't know that fact yet! Oh dear!

Luckily, just down the road in Gribbers-Puddling, one of our pals, aka Big Fluff, has a tyre shop. So Smooch hurtled off down there to organise a couple of sets, as he's determined to beat the team from the Fuskerton Projects this year. So stay tuned for more information about the rally soon.  

Next up in the news

Fudge and Melvyn Witnessing Smooch's Hasty Departure

Unbeknown to Smooch, Fudge and Melvyn witnessed his hasty departure from BBHQ.

And Fudge is praying to Cod that Smooch doesn't find out about his late-night joyriding activities around the village.

Jumpin' juniper berries, it's all hotting up, and if that video footage isn't wiped, Fudge will be in fluffing hot water.

Parsley's Not Getting Involved

Meanwhile, in the garden, Parsley also witnessed Smooch's wheel spinning, stone flicking, screeching out of the drive, and he was not impressed at all.

And yes, he knows what Fudge did, but decided that it's not his purroblem and promptly went for a nap! MOL

**COLOURING WITH CATS** #89 ~ Getting Your OMs on with Mandalas on Mondays ~ It's All Happening In Mewton-Clawson

Supurr Monday greetings beautiful furriends

Hiya guys, how was your weekend, anything good happen?  Ours was purretty laid-back, it was a beautiful day on Caturday, but a rather dull day on Sunday; Smooch and Pandora spent some time outside, and if mew want to see Pandora's supurr slow-mo video, pop to insta and check it out.  

Melvyn and Fudge are under house-arrest at the moment because Fudge decided to go marauding into next doors garden, upsetting a few burds and ruffling some feathers, and young Melvyn came home wet through and naked missing his collar, and we still haven't got to the bottom of that mystery, so they aren't going out anytime soon!

So Fudge spent Sunday like this...

And young Melvyn sulked in the kitchen...

And as mew can see, Sauce had no sympathy at all! OOPS! MOL

Anyhoo, we do hope mew've all have a totally pawesome weekend and that mew're ready fur the week ahead, so let's jump right in and start as always with our little breathing exercise, which we're sure mew all have down paw by now...  but if mew've furgotten, stop what mew're doing fur a moment and take deep fulfilling breaths; counting to five on the inhale and five on the exhale:

Welcome to another BBHQ selfie selection. This week, Smooch is in the spotlight.

Just look at that face.

Mew know the P.A. dad often chuckle about Smooch's name, because they couldn't have picked a better one for him. If ever there was a cat with an utterly smooch'a'licious face, it's Smooch! MOL

Oh, and here's a fun fact... 

He started off as Smoochie, then we realised he liked Smooch better, and now he loves being called Moo. Or Moo Moo, sometimes we call him Smoo-cha-chums, he has more names than he knows what to do with! MOL

What an epic dude he is.

We're also joining in Athena's Fabulous Art Hop so do stop by and show off your pawesome arty-farty skills.

Do mew know, we just can't get enough of the Watercolour GFX effect, it just makes things look so meautiful and purrfect. I don't think we've ever loved an effect more than this.

The effect was created with Befunky - A.I. enhancer, Watercolour GFX + changes to contrast, vibrance and highlights.

We also turned this fab arty-farty picture into a puzzle, so do stop by the puzzle page and take the Puzzle Challenge, see if mew can beat our time of 8 mins 22 secs. 

Anyhoo it's time for us to go and start snoopervising the filling of the new raised beds in the vegetable garden. It's still a work in progress but we're nearly there, on the homestretch so to speak, and we're quite chuffed that the P.A. has made provision for two large pots of catnip ready for next spring. Hopefully, the neighbourhood cats won't know it's new location, as they keep coming in at night to raid our supplies! MOL

Smooch, the main dude today, is already parked in front of oven waiting for lunch to get underway, as we have guests again.
