The Sunday Selfies and Caturday Art Blog Hops at BBHQ **FEATURING** Melvyn's Snuggle Cushion Selfie

A bright, cheerful collage featuring four cats surrounded by colourful summer flowers including daisies, sunflowers, and lupines. The cats include an orange tabby, a black cat with a blue butterfly perched on its nose, a white cat with grey markings, and another white cat with darker markings. Above them hangs a decorative banner reading “Sunday Selfies ©BionicBasil®,” with bunting flags and string lights adding to the festive feel. Scattered around the scene are black‑and‑white Polaroid‑style snapshots of other cats, creating a playful, nostalgic atmosphere for BBHQ’s July Sunday Selfies.

An epic selfie starring BBHQ's supurr meowdel, Melvyn!

A vibrant summer garden scene filled with colourful wildflowers in shades of yellow, pink, purple, blue, and red. Butterflies in various colours flutter above the dense blooms, creating a lively, cheerful meadow atmosphere. The composition is bright, lush, and full of movement, evoking a warm July day in a flourishing garden.

Epic greetings, glorious furiends

Welcome to BBHQ on this delightful Sunday!

And this week Melvyn stepped in, sorry, snuggled in and said, yep, my turn!!! MOL

Melvyn's Snuggle Cushion Selfie

Melvyn, a tabby cat with dark brown and black markings and white fur on his face and body, is curled up comfortably on a round cushion decorated with bright pink flowers with white centres. He rests in a relaxed pose, nestled into the soft fabric, creating a cosy and peaceful scene. The cushion sits on a light wooden floor near a white wall and furniture leg, adding to the calm, homely atmosphere of Melvyn’s Sunday Selfies moment.

This is Melvyn's favourite snoozy snuggle spot at the moment, on the round cushion under the side table next to the sofa.

It's right next to the window where the cat steps go up, so the window is open for a nice breeze and wiffles.

Purrfection! MOLA vibrant summer garden scene filled with colourful wildflowers in shades of yellow, pink, purple, blue, and red. This is such a fun effect!

A watercolour‑style illustration shows Melvyn, a tabby cat with dark brown and black markings and white patches, curled up on a round cushion decorated with bright pink flowers. His fur is rendered with soft blended tones and subtle splashes of colour, giving him a painterly, textured look. The cushion sits against a lightly sketched background, surrounded by vivid splashes of orange, yellow, blue, and purple paint that add energy and movement to the artwork. Enhanced vibrancy and gentle shadowing give depth to Melvyn’s form and the floral cushion, creating a lively, artistic interpretation of his cosy Snuggle Cushion Selfie for the Caturday Art Blog Hop.

The effect was created with Befunky - Watercolour Splash GFX+ with added vibrancy and shadows.

We crushed it in just 11 minutes and 49 seconds. Can mew beat our time?

Of course, mew can! MOL

Let us know your time in the comments ~ we love seeing how mew get on!

Well, it cooled down yesterday, after two horrifically scorchio days ~ 39C Thursday and 33C Friday. The UV was so intense that it fried the edges of water lily pads in the pond, and the poor hydrangea suffered too... Its leaves crisping, even though it was well watered and put in the shade.

So we're happier that it's back down to the mid-twenties now, and there's even rain forecast for tomorrow ~ we'll believe it when we see it ~  and the temperatures dropping to the low twenties going forward, which suits us fine! MOL

We'll be back in the morning with a supurr fun post, but it's a surprise for now.

Do join us again, as mew know how much we love your visits to BBHQ, it really makes our day!

In the meantime, don't forget to...
Bold pink letters outlined in light blue spell out the phrase “STAY FLUFFY” in a playful, three‑dimensional style.
... and utterly furbulous!
