The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **BLUE HYDRANGEAS** ~ Parsley's Gardening Wanderings, Pandora's Hiding Out In The Trees, and Fudge Can't Believe It ~ **PLUS** Melvyn's Modelling This Week's Bandana

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, and thank mew so much for dropping by. Pull up a deckchair, get comfortable, the brollies up, and let’s dive into what’s been happening at BBHQ over the last few days.

The Weekly Weather Report

It got scorchio again late last week and over the weekend, staying around 32C, not fun for floofs like ourselves. It has dropped below 30C now, but will allegedly stay in the mid-twenties for the next week and a half, so we'll see what happens.

It is better today, Tuesday, it's currently 25C with a nice light breeze. So we are actively in the garden doing what we do best, and that's snoopervising the P.A. while she tidies up a bit because it's been way too hot to do any jobs out there in what seems like forever.

Brand new to BBHQ ~ This week's flower offering

A lush cluster of blue and purple hydrangea blooms sits on a patio, the rounded flower heads packed with tiny petals that shift in colour from deep indigo to soft violet. Bright green leaves frame the vibrant blossoms, creating a striking contrast against the stone tiles and gravel of the garden setting at BBHQ.

When the P.A. visited the garden centre a couple of weeks ago, she saw this purply-blue hydrangea. Before she knew what was happening, said plant had been purchased, and was winging its way here! MOL

. Now she does have a climbing hydrangea and one more shrub hydrangea in the central raised bed in the courtyard, but she's never had a blue one before.

It's such a pretty colour. At the moment, it's been planted into a large terracotta pot, out of the full sun, and maybe later in the year, she'll plant it in one of the garden borders.

Parsley's Gardening Wanderings

The P.A. told him it was in the summer house, and it's the one that only Cat Dad can put up because it's BIG and needs sandbags on the base.

He said, "FLUFF THAT! I'm going under the gazebo!"

Pandora's Hiding Out In The Trees 


Pandora, a long-haired tortoiseshell cat, sits peacefully atop a large stone structure beneath cascading leafy branches, with dappled sunlight filtering through the trees and lush green foliage surrounding her.

Pandora found a lovely cool spot on top of the mill wheel cake, and spent a while spying on the local bird population that bip in and out of BBHQ all day.

She loves it here.

Fudge Can't Believe It 


An orange tabby cat walks across a bright, neatly kept lawn, staring wide‑eyed at a single rogue weed sprouting from the grass. Sunlight casts soft shadows over the garden foliage behind him, capturing Fudge’s shocked reaction to the unexpected intruder during the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up.

Fudge couldn't believe there was another weed in the lawn.

We told him, the lawn is all weeds, just don't t look left, mew're just ambling in the least weed-free zone!!! MOL 

The P.A. has planted some micro clover to help put the nitrogen back into the soil; it's growing but not as fast as she'd like. The bees and other insects really like it when it flowers, so that's good.

But she really wants the bowling green lawn back...

Parsley did the maths for new turf - he says it will interfere with our snack budget, so the P.A. had better get used to the weedy lawn! MOL
