Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library.

Many apologies for my lateness this week, sadly the P.A. had to go to her real job and we ran out of time, but as they say; better late than neffur! MOL

I did have stern wurds with the P.A. about her lack of commitment to my posting schedule, but she said, "Amber, if you want that expensive cat food, then I need to go to work."

OK, point taken, but I did tell her not to be late again! MOL

Anyhoo, how's your week been and what exciting things have been happening?

I spent my week snoozing in the warms of the catservatory in Smooch's bed, of course I got a bit of reading done and I got Melvyn to tidy the main library up as I'd been looking for a book on pattern cutting for the P.A. and made a bit of a mess - OOPS!

That's the beauty of having a free intern! Well done Melvyn.

This week we're also joining in Friday Fill-ins with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. Trying to reason with some peeps is like trying to nail jello to a wall.
2. Running in flip flops is never a good idea.
3. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked, "How many cats do you have?" over the years, and then exclaim utter horror/astonishment/look at me like I'm a looney/tut/call me a crazy cat woman etc... I would be rich.

4. I wish kindness and compassion grew on trees, as each year passes the world needs more and more.

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.

Peaches and Paprika: Calico Cats of Distinction

   Our First Year in Connecticut

by

Carol Lowbeer

Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:

Peaches and Paprika, two stunning tiger-calico sisters use photo cartoons to tell their amusing, poignant tale of surviving three New York shelters, a narrow death row escape, and the use of flirtation and charm to help them secure a permanent home in Connecticut.

>^.^<

Today I'm so excited to be sharing a book from our lovely furiends Peaches and Paprika, who've just released their memoir on their furst year after being rescued from a high kill shelter.

Now, these two pawesome lady cats are absolutely charming, and I've known them for some years now and adore their blog.  But anyhoo I digress, their book is supurr, full of fun, beautiful photos and a delightful story as they explore new surroundings and finally get a furever home.

In fact, if mew haven't read it, hop to amazon and download a copy today, mew will be so glad mew did.

I loved it!  Well done ladies and thank mew for bringing a smile to my day!

  3. Why do they ask the question, if they are going to make a social statement about it?
This book is on my list, Amber!

  4. The book sounds good, of course anything Peaches & Paprika put out is always good! I love those fill-ins, and as you do, really do not like that 'How many cats do you have' question.

  5. I have the Kindle version and it is a lovely book with beautiful photos.
I agree with #2. That was how I broke my big toe many years ago!

  7. Better late than never. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I hear you on #3, that started when I only had 5 cats and reactions got worse, the more I got-some people are idiots. Nice review. I am eager to read their book. XO

  9. Another fantastic day in the library! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I can't express how much I agree with your #3. I most often get asked how many cats I have when I buy cat food at the store, and even when it's a pet store I'm at, my answer always earns me a look of shock. Luckily, I'm fine with being seen as a crazy cat lady. I wear that title like a badge of honor. Purrs!
