*waves paw*
Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library, and my second to last review before my annual summer break begins.
And today I also have the purrleasure of announcing Basil and Smooch's Birthday Giveaway winners!
Are mew ready?
The winners are....
and
Many congratulations guys, if mew can send us your snail-mail address, we'll get your prizes sent asap.
Thank mew to effuryone who entered, and don't worry if mew didn't win this time, as it's Melvyn's birthday on 4th July, so mew'll have another chance then.
This week we're also joining in Friday Fill-ins with the amazing 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. June is a good month to _____________________.
2. I love to play _____________________.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit _________.
4. I’d rather not _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. June is a good month to get loads of jobs done in the garden, weather permitting of course. Though at the moment it's not looking very promising... rain, rain and more rain!
2. I love to play croquet and own an antique set from around 1920.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit that I find a lot of things in this modern-day absolutely absurd, such as; how come all that plastic waste ends up in the ocean, and how the fluff can they keep cutting down the amazon forest aka the lungs of the earth!!!??? This throw-away society we live in is a total joke.
4. I’d rather not have anything new if I can mend and make do. I was brought up to clean my shoes, sew on missing buttons, mend clothes, wear hand-me-downs, and to look after everything I have. Not wear something once then discard it, or treat my belongings with no respect.
And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.
This week I'm sharing

Left almost penniless after divorcing her cheating husband, Tammy moves to the
country to reinvent her life. But life in a country town isn't as simple as it
looks...

**Furstly I have to let mew all know that I was given a free copy of this e-book in exchange fur a fair review**
So what did I think to Operation Tomcat; it's a really fun, romantic bite-sized comedy, with a cat called Tom who happens to be part of a special police task force. This is a really nifty and comical story, the characters are witty and interesting with a plotline that makes reading it in one sitting very easy to do.
I did laugh out loud or meow out loud several times, as the authors' humour did tickle me.
There are two more books in this quirky and entertaining series: Operation Camilla and Operation Badger, so when I'm back in the autumn/fall I'll be reviewing both of those too.
Would I recommend it mew? Yes indeed I would, howeffur those who are sensitive to swear words, proceed with caution, but fur effuryone else, go fur it as its a great little book.
Furry many thanks to Tabitha fur letting me review her novels, I really enjoyed this one!

Print Length: 53 pages
I do hope mew enjoy this romance novel if mew decide to give it a go and if mew've read it already, what did mew think?

Don't forget that next week is my final review fur the current season, so do join me in the library, as mew know how much I love your company.

That was a terrific review sweet Amber! Congrats to the winners and we liked your fill-in answers!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Melissa and Mudpie, and the Catscue Gang.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting torrents of rain too. Everything equals out after getting a record breaking dry May. One bonus of the rain is that my borders were bare because I forgot to order seeds and couldn't get bedding plants. The rain has brought up hundreds of tiny violas from seeds which must have laid dormant for the last 4 or 5 years. At least there will be colour now.
I do agree about all the littering and waste. As soon as KFC opened for takeaway again our lane was littered with cartons the very next day. It makes my blood boil!
That sounds like a very nice book, Amber.
Thank you SO much! Mudpie and I are both super excited. Here in our neck of the woods we're close to a drought. It's always an extreme of something! Have a pawsome weekend!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners. Way to go.

ReplyDeleteGreat book review, Amber. We will be sure to check that book out! And we love your P.A.'s fill-in answers, especially numbers 3 and 4.
We love visiting your library, Amber. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I'm like you and prefer to use what I have rather than get new things. I just last year got my first new pair of jeans since high school, and I've been out of high school for over a decade. My old pair had been patched so many times and just finally couldn't take any more. Purrs!
