Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today and Happy April Fools Day!
And no, we don't tend to play tricks, pranks or jokes at BBHQ, those days are long behind us.
Though I do remember the time Basil left me a bunnies head on my pillow, but we won't talk about that today.
It was snowing at BBHQ yesterday, then it hailed, then it snowed some more and this went on for several hours, so rather than head out in the garden to take a picture I decided to share a rather cute throwback to April 2018.
And I even look moderately happy, well not as grouchy as usual! MOL
Let's hope April brings us lots of warm days, although I did take a peek at the long-range forecast and it is looking rather lack-lustre, to say the least, but the long rangers got it wrong for last week when it was gloriously warm. As when I checked the forecast at the beginning of March there was no hint, not a smidge or a whiff of any warms on the horizon, and then bam we got some, so I'm not losing hope for April.
1. Time flies when _________.
2. _________ takes forever.
3. _________ is my earliest memory.
4. Is it weird that I _________?
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. Time flies when you're having fun - never a truer word spoken! LOL
2. Calling larger businesses/services/doctors takes forever. It was bad enough pre-covid but it's absolutely astounding now; you need a picnic, flask and comfy chair for the wait.
3. Riding a miniature shetland pony called Choccy at aged 3, is my earliest memory. (Well one of them).
4. Is it weird that I have so many hobbies? I sometimes think I have far too many.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...

The Divine Feline
A Chic Cat Lady's Guide to Woman's Best Friend
by
Belinda Alexander
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Cats and women share many traits: beauty, elegance, sensitivity, affectionate natures, a knack for nurturing and a love of the luxurious. Cats also embody the feminine dark side, with a tendency towards neurosis and fear of change. Then there are the qualities that cats possess which women long to emulate: fighting fiercely to protect themselves, never saying yes when they mean no, and being unafraid to claim the best seat in the house. Cats are loyal to those who love them but couldn't give a toss about what others think. They don't suffer self-esteem issues or worry if they're overweight. And then there is that enviable air of mystery, that slinky walk . . . oh to be a cat!
Firstly I must say that this is a truly exceptional hardback book, the cover is divine with a black velvet-esque spine printed in gold letters, and the inside is equally impressive. Printed in dark blue ink, with lots of delightful illustrations throughout the eight chapters.
And the diversity of content is ameowzing; here are a few of the chapter headings:
Cat History, Cat Magic, Communicating with Your Cat, The Fairy Cat-Mothers, Indoors or Outdoors.
There is a health and using natural remedies section plus behavioural tips and tricks. In fact, there's so much crammed into this book I was quite literally ameowzed how much advice is in the book, which is written in a fun but informative way, therefore making it incredibly enjoyable to read.
This would make a wonderful gift for yourself or any fabulous cat lady in your life.
Totally TOP PAW!

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Until next time...
Keep calm and read more books
