Greetings fabulous furriends and pawesome readers, welcome to our purrsonal blog. If mew love cats then mew’re definitely in the right place. We share a wide array of entertaining posts to amews mew each week, so drop by often to catch up on all the fun and remember, the wurld is way better with cats! Basil & The B Team
Thanks fur joining fur us fur Part XII of our Crafting with Cats segment and an Easter Eggstravaganza at that! MOL Mew know we have so much fun making all this stuff, and we hope mew enjoy seeing it and/or making it too.
If mew missed any of our previous CWC posts, here's the links:
The only kind of Easter Eggs mew'll want this Sunday! MOL
What Mew Will Need:
cotton Fabric, we used a selection of fat quarters in different prints
lining fabric [optional]
needle, thread ~ optional sewing machine
a great big pile of catnip
Optional Bunny ~ Blossom was today's Craft Room Snoopervisor
Let's Get Started
1. We're making six eggs, and here's our fabric choices fur 4 of our eggs
2. And here's our fabric choice fur the last two
3. Cut out your egg shapes - ours are approx 7" tall by 5" at the widest part prior to sewing
4. Check with optional bunny to make sure they meet FULL BUNNY approval
5. Cut out lining fabric and place either side of your patterned fabric
6. Pin eggs together ready fur sewing [right sides together]
7. Sew, either by hand or machine, leaving a gap fur the stuffing at the bottom
8. Your egg/s should now look something like this
9. Turn fabric right sides out and get FULL BUNNY approval before continuing
10. This is one side of our eggs
11. This is the other side
12. Now stuff with primo catnip - we used our homegrown, organic primo nip in our eggs. And used a ratio of 1/4 stuffing/wadding to 3/4 catnip to fill them - that way the eggs are springy but are really stuffed to the brim with the primo stuff making sure they're extra fragrant and delicious, as nopurrdy wants a BAD EGG! MOL
13. Once your eggs are fully stuffed, hand sew the fabric opening together
14. Now mew should have something that looks like this, with FULL BUNNY approval
Now we're at the critical stage of testing, so what did Smooch think?
As mew can see there was no stopping him, the eggs were amazing and Smooch said, "Dudes these Easter Eggs are eggstraspecially nip'a'licious!" MOL
In fact the P.A. had to remove him from the room as he went a little wild and refused to share with anypurrdy else, I think that's because the P.A. used a special combo of Catnip and Catmint that we affectionately refer to as Psychedelic Puma Blend - OOPS - so maybe not fur newbies like young Melvyn!
So there mew have it, straight from Smooch; catnip eggs are the best, make some, get some, try some this Easter and don't miss out on the fun! MOL

And that pawesome furriends furry sadly brings us to the end of our twelfth Crafting with Cats post, we do hope mew liked it, and we look forward to sharing more crafting exploits from BBHQ in the future!
And if there's anything mew'd like us to make, leave a comment and we'll do our best next time we're here.
We'll be back on the morrow with our fab Easter Selfies and do hope mew can join us then.

Supurr salutations pawesome furriends *waves paw*
Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library
I was going to tell mew what a hideously busy and offurwhelming week I'd had in the library and how it had been nigh on impossible fur me to choose a book fur mew this fabulous Good Friday, and a whole host of other excuses, but sadly dearest furriends this old gal was caught out in the most epically epic way... OOPS!
Yep, this old gal was caught snoozing [well actually it was almost coma-esque] in the catservatory and partially upside down too! It was so warm in there, and it just lulled me into the bestest slumber effur, in fact I had no control at all and resistance was completely futile! MOL The P.A. did remind me on Wednesday that I needed a book and from my semi-upside-down placement I replied, "Yeah, yeah yeah... it's all in paw, don't mew wurry your little self about it!"
Then holy moly, jumpin' juniper berries, I realised it was the 11th hour and 59th minute and I had no post - shame on me. So it would appear my feeble excuses aren't going to cut the mustard in any capacity today, so many apologies about that. But neffur fear I have a back-up plan to entertain mew and that's where we're headed right now... so let me re-share this weeks book.
**This week I'm sharing a review I did fur last Easter, as I think this little book is delightful and deserves another read!**

Here Comes The Easter Cat
Here's the book blurb:
Why should the Easter Bunny get all the love? That's what Cat would like to know. So he decides to take over: He dons his sparkly suit, jumps on his Harley, and roars off into the night. But it turns out delivering Easter eggs is hard work. And it doesn't leave much time for naps (of which Cat has taken five-no, seven). So when a pooped-out Easter Bunny shows up, and with a treat for Cat, what will Cat do? His surprise solution will be stylish, smart, and even-yes-kind.

Mew may remember that I also reviewed, Here ComesValentine Cat. Well I saw that there were several other books in this series and I added this one to my 'to buy list' and guess what I got it instead of an Easter Egg, I didn't need the extra calories anyway and as I said earlier this book is completely calorie free! MOL
It is totally adorable, full of delightful illustrations and a really cute, but meaningful story.
If mew have younger children, or nieces, nephews, grand-kids etc, then this would be an ideal Easter book just fur them.
I think the author has a great formula wurking here and I will share more in the series as they're just too cute not to!
Seriously though mew don't need kids to buy this book, buy it fur yourselves and enjoy, give the kiddies another egg! MOL

I do hope mew enjoy this gorgeous little book if mew decide to give it a try...
...and if mew've read it already, what did mew think?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just fur mew. And don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on myBook Review page. Don't furget to stop by tomorrow to see our latest Crafting with Cats post just in time fur Easter!
Welcome to our weekly news round-up! This week mew may have noticed that our programming schedule is a little off, this is because we are not happy campers right now, the website we mentioned last week still has our posts up, although they ping the posts on and off like a yo-yo??? We've finally heard back from their hosting site who require us to prove who we are before they'll do anything, so now we're preparing statements to qualify and quantify who we are and what we own, and what those those vile, scum have taken. So mew can imagine we're rather hissed off at that to start with, but then it gets better... it would seem that someone/s has reported our completely benign, inoffensive, family friendly cat blog as containing and we quote:
18+ with Sexual or Explicit Imagery
Warning: This site contains some obscene material or profanity
We've since had this stigma removed from one website, and are still waiting on one more to answer. This, as mew can imagine really hissed us off even more, so at the end of April our current programming schedule will end a month early. We were planning on releasing a brand new Colouring with Cats book at the end of this run as we have done fur the past few years, but right now that is on a full-stop.
Our new programming schedule will be very light and there will be no big posts until we're satisfied that we're not being plagiarized, stolen from, ripped off or wrongfully accused of inappropriate content. So what's off the menu fur the Summer Programming Schedule? Purretty much effurything!
Here's what we won't be doing:
As mew can see that leaves us 2 posts a week, plus there will be NO Summer Blockbuster this year, so that means no epically epic adventure will be happening here either, many apologies fur that too, and we'd got an epically epic tale to tell as well, but that will have to wait now. We have a simple 3rd post planned which will be revealed on the day of posting:- 3rd May 2019. There will be no big birthday pawty posts as we've seen a lot of our graphics have been stolen and are on various websites fur downloading. So really we're not left with much and mew guys can thank the content thieves fur where we are today, because we're not wurking our tails off fur them to take credit fur our hardwurk, and pass our posts/material off as their own - not that the thieves will care, because those kind of peeps don't have a conscience, they have no morals or ethics, and won't care in the slightest, they'll just move on to the next victim. We have spent too long wurking on BionicBasil®, in fact since January 2000, so nearly 20 years now and we're getting a little jaded with it all. The book that started effurything, 'Basil The Bionic Cat' furst published in 2004 has been pirated 100,000's of 1000's of times offur the years, [we saw it get downloaded 50,000 times in a week on one website] and now our lovely little blog is going the same way because of internet piracy. Smooch sends many apologies to the kitties who are expecting to go Smooching Around The Wurld with him soon, those trips will happen, but not right now as previously planned. We hope that we can get back to our normal vibe as soon as possible and hope most sincerely that mew'll stick with us through this upcoming lean time.
In other news, we said on Mondays post that we'd be here yesterday with a sponsored post - that didn't happen because the product we were supposed to be talking about wasn't the product we were sent when we opened the box and we honestly couldn't write about something we didn't feel right about, hence yesterday's no show!
If mew missed anything offur the last week, here's the latest posts fur your purrusal:
Amber will be here on Friday, so we hope mew can join us then, in the meantime we wish mew all an epic day and don't furget to hop along on today's Pet Parade. If mew need to right click and paste your link to join in, please scroll down and click on the: Barking from the Bayou link below.

Sorry we haven't been here with a Colouring with Cats post fur a couple of weeks, but mew know how things go sometimes; Interwebs issues, PC issues, Phone issues etc... Anyhoo, we do have a new bow tie to share with mew, but the P.A. furgot about it until the 11th hour and 59th minute and there was no time fur a fashion shoot, the new one is top right, we think it's purretty snazzy and we'll endeavour to get a pic fur next week instead.
But as there's no one modelling the bow tie we're going to tease mew with our latest Crafting with Cats post just fur Easter which will be live on Caturday, so if mew're in the market fur a shopping trolley's wurth of catnip Easter Eggs, do stop by! Plus mew can see the P.A. hasn't been slacking off in the sewing department ~ we like to keep her busy! MOL Just look at those Catnip Easter Eggs ~ EPICALLY EPIC OR WHAT!?
And we think Blossom the Bunny is doing a stellar job of stopping young Melvyn from going a bit crazy ~ he's not had a lot of 'nip exposure' thus far, so he's a bit of a lightweight in the wurld of nip. Give him a few more months here though and he'll be a hardened nip veteran, especially with the new crop we've got growing, even more epicness to look forward to this summer! MOL
Anyhoo, we do hope mew've all have a totally pawesome weekend and that mew're ready fur the week ahead, so let's jump right in and start as always with our little breathing exercise, which we're sure mew all have down paw by now... but if mew've furgotten, stop what mew're doing fur a moment and take deep fulfilling breaths; counting to five on the inhale and five on the exhale:
Don't mew feel better already? I know we do!
Smooch is here again to offur mew assistance in getting your OM's on and Zen Harmonies happening, so just press play, close your eyes and follow his instructions.
Don't mew feel better already? We most certainly do! MOL

And here's our finished version... and we've used blue all over this time, as we've obviously got a lot happening in the throat chakra area right now! MOL
So on that note we'll say bye fur now and hope to see mew on the morrow when we're back with a sponsored post. Until then Keep Calm and Colour OM! Bestest chilled and most soothing purrs Basil & Co xox
