Epic Greetings Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Happy Wednesday fluffies, and what a glorious few days it's been. We've had some supurr sunspots, and we also had a nice rainy Caturday afternoon. And we say nice rain because, after the initial cloudburst, it was a slow and steady pitter-patter, NOT the usual deluge, which then means flooding; it was just what the garden needed, as it's been so dry.
So much so that the P.A. had to get the hosepipe on to fill all the birdbaths around the garden and then water some of the pots on Friday morning. So the rain was a nice blessing.
We thought mew like like to see some more BBHQ flowers. Below are some violas, which are an incredible shade of purple with electric blue centres; they are totally mesmerising in real life.
And here are some pretty primroses; these grow all over the garden, self-set, so they pop up in the Spring like little colourful surprises in the most random of places. And then, when they've finished flowering, the P.A. moves them into the garden borders for next year.
We love that shade of yellow, it's just so fluffing happy, it's almost criminal! MOL
Righty ho, after all of that, here's this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week...
Smooch Enjoying A Meautiful Sunspot
This was Smooch on Monday lunchtime, completely zonked out under the gazebo, with not a care in the world.
Meanwhile, below, Fudge was having all on not to flip the fluff out!
Next up in the news...
Fudge's Horror at The Catmint Taking Too Long To Grow
On Monday lunchtime, while Smooch was taking it easy, fully reclined in a lovely little hotspot shown above, Fudge was freaking out by the summerhouse and as another catmint plant had been pruned.
"I DON'T FLUFFING BELIEVE IT!" he shrieked. "IS NOTHING SACRED IN THIS GARDEN ANYMORE?"
Parsley, who was watching through the foliage from the path, decided to keep very quiet - see below.
At the time of snapping the above picture, Fudge was locked in a deep internal battle, trying to control his overwrought senses from going into a complete meltdown.
Smooch, being the ever-helpful dude he is, shouted from his epically stress-free reclining fest under the gazebo. "Fudge, dude, would mew like to come help mew with some breathing exercises?"
Sadly, we can't print the reply! #ohdear
The chief pruner, aka the P.A., has declined to comment on this matter until further investigations have been carried out.

Fudge's Using Sheer Force of Will To Make The Catmint Grow
Mew may remember a few weeks ago that Fudge was traumatised by this particular plant being pruned. If mew missed it, click here to catch up.
In utter desperation last week, he tried employing the sheer force of will method to get the catmint growing!
Just look at the epic levels of concentration happening; mew could literally feel the energy radiating off him. It was utterly astounding.
But sadly, several days later, the catmint has not responded in the manner he was hoping for! MOL

In other news...
Parsley Trying to Avoid Fudge's Outburst
Parsley, who by pure chance was sitting on the path minding his own business, while Smooch was under the gazebo and Fudge was freaking out.
He decided in this moment to close his eyes and lock on to those zen harmonies from earlier in the day when he joined in with Smooch's breathing exercises on the latest Colouring with Cats! (see link below).
He also decided that if he couldn't see Fudge, Fudge couldn't see him, and thereby, he wouldn't get dragged into the new Catmint Gate unfolding at BBHQ! MOL
And finally, this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
Melvyn is modelling the last of the March bandana collection, Spring Vibes, and he's absolutely loving it!
He's feeling so fluffing epic; it's not measurable by any instrument on Earth! MOL
Which one should he model next?
Here's the brand new April Bandana collection, hot off the sewing machine in the BBHQ Craft Room. These were made on Monday teatime under the expert eye of Fudge, who was hanging around the craft room and needed a distraction.
As spring is now officially here, we chose some more colourful and bright bandanas for this month.
The April Collection:
1. Ballooning with Furiends* ~ Blue
2. Spring Freshness
3. Peony Purrfection
4. Cute Pink Cats
5. Blooming Marvellous
Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments!
*Melvyn modelled the Ballooning with Furiends with a white background last September, and we've been waiting to make the blue version since then. We just checked out the videos we posted in September, and there's a really cute 'get ready with me' where he's prepping for the catwalk run; OMC, it's so cute!
That's us done for today.
Amber will be back on Friday with another pawesome book, and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:
Smooch's Selfie
Check out the latest episodes of The Purrminator, as tomorrow, we'll be back with Chapter Twenty in Melvyn's epically epic, supurr exciting origin story.
And if mew weren't here on Caturday, mew may have missed Chapter Nineteen - link below - we posted two last week as the chapters weren't very long, but for Cods sake, don't miss tomorrow's episode!
Hoping mew have a furbulous day, and remember to always...

Love the sunpuddle, sorry about the catmint, wonderful modeling, Melvyn! and Blooming Marvelous certainly would be just that next week.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Fudge really was having an event....
ReplyDeleteThose pansies are amazing!
Melvyn really looks good in that bandana. We like #4 for the next time.
We'll go with bandana No.1 next. Lovely pics of all of you! We also have lots of primroses growing wild in our garden. They are such a joy.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
The pansies are a lovely colour. We have a lot of primroses growing in the hedges around our fields. Poor Fudge is very upset about the catmint. That concentration should get it growing faster. I vote for the Pink Cats bandana.
