Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #15 featuring Bless Her Dead Little Heart

Welcome To

The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Supurr happy greetings fellow book lovers

I'm so furry sorry that I wasn't here last week, but due to unforeseen time restraints, things went a little pear-shaped!

Anyhoo, I'm here now and I have a fab book to share with mew.

In other news, our epically epic adventure: Fast, Furry & Dangerous finished yesterday, so if mew need a bit of excitement in your life this week, read it.

And rather than keeping mew hanging on while I burble on about life, the universe and everything, here's this weeks selection.

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

Bless Her Dead Little Heart

A Southern Ladies Mystery

by

Miranda James

This is the same author that Humphrey featured a few weeks ago with The Cat in The Stacks series, and we thoroughly enjoyed that series, so I made an executive decision and thought I'd try the authors new series.

To be honest, when I read a series by one author and become invested in the characters and love the books, I do tend to shy away from any new series they may write because in a lot of instances it neffur feels the same and I don't know about mew, but I feel a little let down when this happens and wished I'd neffur bothered; I call it the disappointment factor.

That aside, I can safely say this series is not like that at all, it's like an extension of the Cat in The Stacks series, as mew may remember that featured a beautiful Maine coon kitty called Diesel. Diesel is back in this furst book doing his sleuthing thing with two elderly sisters, Miss An’gel and Miss Dickce Ducote while they are cat-sitting him after his owner takes a little vacation.

Murder comes to the town of Athena, following the unexpected arrival of an old school friend, Rosabelle. Within the day, her entire family arrives on the doorstep and Rosabelle is convinced one of them is trying to kill her.

It has all the usual twisty plot turns, inferences and red herrings to keep mew guessing, and it also had a few meowing out moments which really made the P.A. chuckle too - I had to shush her so I could keep listening... tsk tsk...

The book is full of southern charm and good manners, and I really like that more than mew could effur know! MOL

I see this as a highly purromising series and look forward to reading the next one.

I do hope mew enjoy this novel and if mew've read it already, tell me what did mew think?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time!

Happy reading or listening
