Hi guys, it was a bit sunny on the weekend, so the P.A. insisted I get out of my bed and get some fresh air. Even though it was sunny, the breeze was chill and rather fresh.
Aftur a 2 minute and 47-second excursion on the new patio and a full lap around the new pond I deemed that was enough fur me.

Howeffur the P.A. had other ideas.

I pootled my furriness to the patio door, peered in and upon seeing the P.A. I scratched on the door until she opened it.

"I'm done!" I said.

The P.A. looked down at me. "Amber it's not even been five minutes, I think you need a bit longer."  And she promptly closed the door leaving me out on the patio.

Can mew believe it?  Seriously, I was completely speechless that she left me on the patio to get some extra fresh air!

Like WTF was that????

I mean my bed was getting colder moment by moment and it would take me a least an hour to get it back to the purrfect just-right 'Goldilocks' temperature.

At the four-minute mark I began to panic.

At this point, I'm losing body fat and feel weak with hunger, and then I had a brainwave, I plastered the most pitiful expression on my furry chops that I could muster and pressed my nose on the glass.

Within five seconds the door was open and I hurtled to my bed, all the while thinking 'Mew fell fur that hook line and sinker! MOL

Honestly, I really don't understand what all the kerfuffle about the great outdoors is, me purrsonally I like my bed in the great-indoors with a food source within fifteen paces.

I just hope the P.A. doesn't think that this outside thing is going to become a regular occurrence, unless it's 25C outside I'm not interested.

And now I think it's time fur this weeks book, so let get to it...

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

The Time-travelling Cat and the Egyptian Goddess

by

Julia Jarman

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Topher and his father are trying to get over the death of Topher's mother, an Egyptologist, when they take in a stray cat. This cat bears an uncanny resemblance to a cat ornament given to Topher by his mother and so they name it 'Ka', meaning 'double'. Topher becomes very attached to Ka and is puzzled by her mysterious absences.

Although this is a kids book I really, really did enjoy enjoy listening to it.   It's fun, but it's also bit sad as Topher lost his mother, his new best friend is deaf and his new cat keeps going missing.

Ka the cat talks, which in my humble opinion makes fur a much better read than when the cat is just a cat.  The story rattles along a a great pace, and although the book is not very long the story is still detailed enough to bring maximum enjoyment.

There wasn't anything I didn't like and am looking forward to listening to the next in the series.

My advice is try it, as mew know sometimes kids books are the best!

I hope mew enjoy this book if mew do take the plunge and buy it... and if mew've read it already, tell me what did mew think?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and we'll be here again on Friday with the Pet Parade!

Happy reading or listening
