Impawtant Announcement At BBHQ ~ Farewell Uncle John RIP

BBHQ Announcement ©BionicBasil®

Hi all

Many apologies for not being here the last few days.

The flag has been flying at half-mast the last few weeks, and we've been too upset as it was the P.A.'s uncles funeral on Wednesday.

We have lived next door to Uncle John for 20+ years, he and Humphrey were best pals right up until Humprey's departure on 18th April 2017.

He died peacefully on 30th March, (not from Covid-19) he was just shy of his 87th birthday on April 8th, and in recent years he'd had a few health complications stemming from his type one diabetes.

It was a strange funeral, as obviously here in the UK not more than a handful of peeps are allowed to attend at the graveside and there are no church services allowed, but as Uncle John used to run the garage with his 2 brothers and 2 sisters before he retired in 1984 - yes the same garage which the P.A. now runs, we were able to open the large forecourt and let a few family members who wanted to attend to come and sit in their parked cars as Uncle John made his final farewell in this realm.

The funeral car was able to pull onto the forecourt so we could all say goodbye and have a few minutes of prayer and give thanks for a great man and well-lived life as obviously, we couldn't have a proper service in these awful times.  One of the P.A's cousins even brought one of the tractors that Uncle John had built many years ago; he was a very clever man who could mend/build anything mechanical and was a bit of an eccentric genius, and we thought putting the little tractor outside the showroom was a lovely idea.

This picture [a photo of a photo] was taken when the P.A. first moved to Mewton-Clawson way back in 1999...

Catkin was exploring the garden for the first time and Uncle John had just appeared from his workshop next door and was a keen observer.

RIP UNCLE JOHN

1933 to 2020

You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.

Many thanks for your patience and understanding, we're hoping to resume our normal programming service next week.

Hoping that all is well with you all.

Hugs
