Greetings fabulous furriends and pawesome readers, welcome to our purrsonal blog. If mew love cats then mew’re definitely in the right place. We share a wide array of entertaining posts to amews mew each week, so drop by often to catch up on all the fun and remember, the wurld is way better with cats! Basil & The B Team
Well here we are again, Friday is upon us in the blink of an eye... to be honest I just don't know where the time is going at the moment, but at least we've got our regular feature of Thursday Frolicks aka Cat/K9/Pet of the Week - back on track and over the next few weeks I've got some truly pawesome pals lined up to star on the blog.
Apart from that not a lot else is happening, I have to re-organize the P.A.'s diary as she seems to have let that lapse - so I have to make sure that all the blog posts are penciled in and scheduled on the right days - mew know sometimes I think to myself
"mew just can't get the staff!"
But then she does have a lot to do, so there's no point in any disciplinary action! MOL [at the moment]
Parsley and Smoochie are in mega grovelling mode after getting me lost in space, so I'm taking full advantage of their remorseful and highly apologetic demeanour. Smoochie is in charge of mixing plenty of niptini's and Parsley keeps bringing me nibbles when I'm in the house reclining in my favourite snooze spot - in actual fact I could get used to being waited on by those two permanently! MOL
On that note, bottoms up, chin chin and here's wishing mew all a pawesome weekend and we'll be back bright and breezy next week
Many greetings to all our wunderpurr furriends and welcome back to our weekly feature, that sadly got put on the back burner due to me getting Lost in Space! MOL So without further adieu here's this weeks
Featuring the totally amazing
Many Con'Cat'ulations Sammy! >^.^< Sammy and I are memfurs of Cat Scouts and he's a truly remarkable Scout, a polydactyl kitty too and his Mom writes mystery novels, anyhoo before my ramblings continue here's what Sammy had to say during his interview:
1. A Little About Myself: I turned 15 on January 1st! I was adopted from the local shelter at the
age of ABOUT 6 weeks old but nobody knows.
I was found under an abandoned house all alone. My Mom and Dad live in a BIG house and I’m an
only cat but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
2.What Is My Most Favorite
Thing: Blogging – secondly, strawberry
yogurt, thirdly, bacon
3.What Is My Least Favorite
Thing: Noise. I like peace and quiet.
4.Indoor Kitty or Outdoor
Enthusiast: I am mostly inside but Mom
trained me on a harness from kittenhood so I do get to go outside for
walks. Now that I’m older and know my
yard limits, I can go out in daylight without the harness but always with Mom
or Dad. If it’s dark outside I’m always
on the harness and I kind of like being out there in the DARK!!!
5.My Favorite Treat: Bacon…..I also quite like the occasional
piece of turkey, ham, or salami
6.My Favorite Snooze
Spot: Anywhere my Mom is sitting – I
love being on her lap. As I’ve gotten
older my favorite “other” spot has changed….used to be Mom’s bed but can’t get
up there anymore - - - then I switched to window seat but don’t like that - - -
then sunny spots on the floor and that remains my “second best” spot for a
snooze to this day!
7.Special Toy? I have a very old toy that was one of my
first EVER – but all that’s left is the elastic string and the ball at the end
of the string…..there was more to the toy when it was new but it’s long
gone. I drag the string around with me
frequently. I also quite like my
toothbrush! It’s a human baby’s type
toothbrush but I’ve had it since I was a kitten and I like to chew on
it……..Since I like to chew on the brush part, Mom says I’m brushing my OWN
8.My Favorite Time of the
Year: Spring and Fall – it’s a “tie” –
I love both of them. Not super hot – not
super cool – it’s JUST RIGHT.
9.Anything Else to
Share? Well, I’d like to say that I’m
happy that the only medical problem I have at my age is hyperthyroidism which
is controlled by medication for now. I
know so many others my age who have heart problems, kidney problems, teeth/gum
problems, litterbox issues but I have none of those………..I’m a little bit
arthritic but even that’s not so bad. I
think I’m lucky to be in good shape and I hope I stay that way for a long time
because I really do love my life and my Mom and Dad. They are THE BEST!
10.Am I creative? I didn’t write a book myself, but I was the
“inspiration” for my Mom’s two childrens books.
One was about a feral kitten who wandered off and lived in a magical
woods and started his own community of feral cats and the other book is a
childrens book of fables in which animals are the main characters.
11.If I Could Do ANYTHING,
What would it be? Well, there are TWO
things……I’d quite like to be able to fly like a bird (how cool would THAT be?)
AND I’d like to live another 15 years with my Mom and Dad. We are the purrrrfect little family!

DON'T BE SHY
We look forward to seeing mew on the morrow Bestest purrs Basil & Co xox
As mew know I'm back from my adventures in space, and I must say that I'm furry happy to be back.
We had a most raucous pawty with Spock and the Klingonz, there was much niptini flowing and luckily Smoochie and Parsley had managed to order a whole host of delectable treats - and at least they managed to do that right. The funniest was when the Klingonz tried to leave, they'd had one niptini too many and when I say their take off was less than graceful, mew can just imagine! MOL Spock on the other hand was just beamed up, no stress there at all.
More good news is that Cat of The Week will resume next week with a pawesome buddy of mine and fellow Cat Scout, so don't furget to stop by next Thursday to see who it is.
Oh and I am delighted that Rascal and Rocco have elected last weeks collage as the new Pet Parade banner with modifications of course, thanks mew guys, I'm chuffed to bits that mew liked it so much!
Fur tomorrow, as mew know we don't post on Caturdays so we thought we'd get in a day early! MOL
So smoochies from all of us to all of mew
We have news on Basil's space dilemma, the Klingonz are on their way in a Class II Cruiser and apparently Spock has hijacked the Enterprise, a convergence will be imminent ~ hopefully neither party will be in breach of Federation Rules, as we don't want a galactic war breaking out due to the misadventures of Parsley and Smoochie pushing the 'DO NOT PRESS' button! [And it is Friday the 13th MOL MOL MOL]
So on that note, impending galactic war aside we'd like to wish mew all a lovely weekend
