Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today and it's lovely to have your company again.
We've had a bit of a cold spell at BBHQ this week, but yesterday after a really frosty start the sun came out for a while and melted all the ice.
I was watching Smooch bip about under the carport, he likes to get in the coal box and then comes back inside with really dirty paws.
I think there must be some new mice who've moved in, I'll check with our resident library mice to see if there are any newcomers.
It's nice to be able to watch everything happening from the comfort of the catservatory, and the sofa with my really toasty heat pad.
I've also been checking out a few books for upcoming reviews, and have compiled a nice list for 2022. Have mew been reading anything exciting this week, do tell me in the comments?
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.

The P.A.'s answers are...
1. When I run out of sugar, I use honey as a substitute in my tea or coffee.
2. I don’t understand why I am so tired at the moment.
3.10.30pm is the best time to go to bed, and that is according to Smooch's purrsonal internal time-keeping device.
4. It seems like I’m the only one who is permanently tired and worn out right now.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...

Luna is Missing
by
Tanya Preminger
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
An enchanting, lovely illustrated, funny children’s book about friendship, responsibility, and the love of animals.
Just as she does every morning, Mia is serving breakfast to her best friends Max the brave dog and Luna the playful cat. But wait! Luna is missing! Mia and Max search high and low. Will they find her?

**Furstly I have to let mew all know that I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review**
Well I'm sure I don't know what happened, but I should have reviewed this book last Friday; it's my old age, I can't remember what I'm doing, and I think I need to get Melvyn to double-check for me in the future!
Anyhoo, let's get back to Luna is Missing; an early reader book for ages 2 to 6, so ideal to read aloud or read alone depending on skill level. And what a cute story of friendship and anipal companionship, plus it's educational in a fun way for younger readers to discover how to be responsible for anipal companions.
Now mew know I don't do spoilers, though I will say that this book has a secret game in the lovely illustrations, which for younger readers will be really fun.
A great gift for anipal lovers, the grandkids, nieces, nephews and anyone who's looking for a fun, cute book.

That sounds like a good book sweet Amber and the P.A.'s fill-in answers were good too, maybe she needs some catnip and a nap!
ReplyDeleteLove the fill-ins. Kitties do these are better than humans do.
ReplyDeleteAmber knows how to showcase a book. It's purrfect.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around and a big hug to mom. ♥
I hope Smooch doesn't go near your library when he is covered with coal. I am glad you have a heating pad to keep you warm. Emmy and Penny have them too. That looks like a great book for my great nieces who are 3 and 6. Thank you to the PA for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am sorry she is so tired. I can relate though, I am always in need of a nap. Have a nice weekend. XO
ReplyDeleteThat was a good review, Amber. I am always tired too, but I know that is because I don't sleep well through the night.
ReplyDeleteWe here sure hope answers can be found to the PA's constant tiredness, maybe she needs to see an MD?
ReplyDeleteThat seems a cute story, even for the adults who would be reading it to their children.
Can you imagine all the coalprints on the spines and pages! Clearly you need to get Marvin to start a paw wash service — drive through, MOL
ReplyDeleteAnyways, that is a great book to share. These early readers are so important to get kids thing compassionately and responsibly.
We look forwards to your next review!
ERin the Cat
What a cute book! Sounds like a super duper one, for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd now for those fill-ins. Hmmm...
1. When I run out of catnip, I use... Now what do I use as a substitute for the nip? Oh, I know! Valerian root. MOUSES!
2. I don’t understand why I've been saddles with two good-for-nothin' peeps. SOME cats have far more useful peeps than I.
3. Daytime is the best time to get nipped. Course nighttime is pretty darned good, too.
4. It seems like I’m the only one who understands the importance of always havin' a good supply of the nip on paw. Only one in my family, that is. Did I mention my peeps weren't very good? MOUSES!
