Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #16 featuring Cupcakes, Bats, and Scare-dy Cats

Welcome To

The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Spooky greetings supurr furiends

Sorry furiends while I just shout at the smoke machine oppurrative...

"Will mew purrlease turn off the smoke machine, when I said I wanted a spooky atmospheric vibe to the library I didn't mean I wanted a pea-souper wipe-out dudes!"

Now where were we, oh yes...

...welcome welcome welcome to the spooky library... muawhahhahahahahahahahaaaa!

As mew can see I'm so feeling the Halloween vibe, the library is as spooky as it gets, chilling in fact, so much so that I actually had to put the heating one! MOL

My ghost pals even came out to play, usually, they're a little shy and spend their time moving things about that they shouldn't just because they think it's funny - I can tell mew it's not funny when one minute your plate is full of nip and cream cookies, then the next minute there's only one left!

Also mew may have noticed that I have my Halloween costume on, and even if I do say so myself I think a make a supurr cute witch! MOL

Well on that note, I think it's time to dive into this weeks spooky offuring.

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

Cupcakes, Bats, and Scare-dy Cats

(An Annie Graceland Cozy Mystery Book 6)

by

Pamela Dumond

I know it is a little unusual to start on book 6 of a series, but as it's Halloween and we're all about Halloween this week, that's why!

Where to begin, mew know I've neffur read anything by this author before so I wasn't sure what to expect.  After a stilted stop-start, stop-start I must say that I found it really rather fun.

The kitty in this purrticular cozy mystery is called Theodore Von Pumpernickle and when I say he is rather dramatic, that's the understatement of the century.

The story is told from multi viewpoints which when I was listening to the audiobook was a little confusing at furst but the more I listed the better it became.

Theodore's mum, Annie Graceland has psychic abilities and mew guessed it, murder just seems to follow her around.  In this book her apartment manager, Anthony Spiggottini is the victim, and during an unannounced apartment inspection, Theodore and his K9 pal are inadvertently bundled out of her apartment due to violating the 'no dogs allowed' policy.

This is where I really started to take note as indoor, pampered kitty Theodore is on the streets.  I found his narrative highly amusing the way he describes his plight, he blows effurything out of proportion in such an epic way mew can't help but laugh.

I will go back and start at the beginning of the series so I am more familiar with the characters, but I have to say even though I started in the middle I really did enjoy it.

I do hope mew like this novel and if mew've read it already, did mew enjoy it?

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time!  Plus I need to put the expel-air on and get rid of all this mist!!! MOL

Happy reading or listening
