Supurr salutations pawesome furriends

Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library.

Happy Friday effuryone and let me just say, thank cod it's Friday! MOL

Amber the cat sitting in the doorway of her private library in mewton-clawson

What a week, the P.A. and I have been in my library most evenings as she suddenly decided that she wanted to reorganize her craft/art/sewing supplies which occupies the same space with her large table and myriad of shelves on the opposite side to my bookcases, and when I say OMC how much stuff has she got, it's insane!

And what started off a rather simple tidy-up has turned into an absolute marathon - I'm exhausted just watching her - and she's still nowhere near finished.

Though I must say it was rather offur due, as there was stuff bursting out of boxes effurywhere and even though the P.A. knew exactly where effurything was, it did need a big clean up.

I anticipate it'll sort of being finished next week and then she needs to find some extra storage for the crystal room which is next door to my library **BIG SIGH** it neffur ends.

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book as I need to go fur a nap! MOL

This week I'm sharing

The Diary of a Killer Cat

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Poor Ellie is horrified when Tuffy drags a dead bird into the house. Then a mouse. But Tuffy can't understand what all the fuss is about.
Who on earth will be the next victim to arrive through the cat-flap?

Don't mew just love the cover, and doesn't it remind mew of one of The B Team? Not mentioning any names, FUDGE!!! MOL [Don't tell him I said that! MOL]

Although not a long book, so not a long review, it is furry funny and would make a truly excellent addition to anypurrdy's library.

Anne Fine is a veteran writer, who pens stories fur all age groups, and has had a truly illustrious writing career with so signs of slowing up, thank goodness.

The Diary of a Killer Cat is written from Tuffy's point of view and is an absolute riot, funny, well written and most enjoyable fur all ages.

If mew love cats mew'll love this, and I'm still chuckling right now at some of Tuffy's antics and yes, I can totally relate! MOL

If mew want a quick, fun read, get this as it's guaranteed to bring a smile to your day!

Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #44 featuring Real Hamsters Don't Bite: Mighty and Brennon Run Away to Find Cat Land and Unzip the Truth

Welcome To

With Amber ~ The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Supurr salutations fellow biblio-cats

*waves paw*

Guys I have good news and bad news.  The Bad news is, there's only one more Wordy on Wednesday to go as I'm off on my summer hiatus, but the good news is The Last Big Jolly, our latest summer blockbuster will begin on the 4th of July, how exciting is that?

Sorry I'm stepping down fur a few weeks, but as Basil said on Monday's post, Fudge + a rocket launcher = extreme prejudice in the firing range, thus we have a little maker-offur to do!  I want to paint the firing range in shades of orange, but I'm meeting much opposition at the moment, really I can't see what the issue is, orange is a totally fabulous colour and they should be honoured that I want to share all my orangeness with them! PFFFTTT!!!

Mew can seen how fabulous orange is below...
Ok enough tummy tickling! MOL

This week I'm sharing a fab newly released children's book and I was I lucky enough to be given a free* advanced reader's copy, how exciting is that?  TRES TRES EXCITING!
[*I received a free e-book in exchange for a fair review].

Now I know that some of mew have already seen it as I'm running a little behind schedule at the moment, but don't let that stop mew from enjoying today post.

And on that note I think it's time fur this weeks book, so let get to it...

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

Real Hamsters Don't Bite

Mighty and Brennon Run Away to Find Cat Land and Unzip the Truth

by

Alexis Cleoford

Here's the book blurb:

All is not what it seems…

Mighty is stuck in an elegant waiting room which he calls a dungeon even though he gets plenty of fresh water and food. When Mighty’s parents pick him and his brother up, Mighty decides that he will find a place where cats are treated like kings.

One day clumps of yellow goo start falling from the sky, and cats are attacked by small rodents. No one knows why the rodents are attacking cats.

The two feline brothers see their dream destination on TV and want to have fun there. The attacks and mysterious yellow goop falling from the sky give the two feline brothers another incentive to flee to their dream land.

On the way to Cat Land, Mighty and Brennon meet a cat who acts like a human. They fight a naughty cat, and also encounter black and white grazing animals which look like aliens to Mighty. They rescue a group of cats from an attack as well.

Mighty finally captures a perpetrator and discovers that his secret is only fur deep. Mighty uses this secret to trick others into thinking that he and Brennon are dogs, for a good cause.

Despites all the obstacles Mighty and Brennon overcome, nothing could have prepared them for what they experience in their dream land.

The brothers’ parents get a phone call to pick their cats up, and the two felines receive the worst punishment that a cat can get for running away: a bath.

Not all is dreary as Mighty and Brennon help put a stop to the attacks. They also have a shot at getting to another dream destination.

**FYI I received this book in exchange fur a fair review**

My thoughts on Real Hamsters Don't Bite... This is a really fun book suitable fur older and younger readers.  Mighty and Brennan are two rather cool kitties who seek adventure, but sadly their dream is short-lived due to mis-advertising! MOL  [Yep, neffur believe those TV adverts! MOL]

Not only is it a cute story, it also weaves cat care, tips and advice within the adventure which I really liked, fur example; foods that are toxic to cats - obviously mew know I don't do spoilers so if mew need to know what they are read the book!

So if mew have children, grandchildren or are still a big kid, try it.
