Welcome to another selfie selection, and today our little tripawed dude is here sharing:

Smooch's Relaxing Garden Selfie 

Smooch adores being in the garden, in fact if he doesn't get outside he gets rather depressed. He could never be an indoor only cat.

We're also joining in the lovely Athena's Art Hop so do stop by and show off your pawesome arty-farty skills.

The effect was created with ios Prisma App and we used the effect:- Sea Buckthorn. We really like this effect, we tried many in BeFunky, but nothing really suited the photo so we decided to try our next go-to App of Prisma.

We also turned this fab arty-farty picture into a puzzle, so do stop by the puzzle page and take the Puzzle Challenge, see if mew can beat our time of 10 mins 43 secs. 

Anyhoo it's time for us to go and snoopervise in the kitchen as Nanny and Grampaw are coming for lunch, and there's going to be blackberry and apple pie with custard or ice cream, and if we are lucky we might get to try a lick of ice cream, mmmmmmm yummy! 

We do hope mew have a totally terrific day and look forward to your company in the morning when we'll be back bright and breezy!

3. I wouldn’t mind if covid, fuel prices, energy prices, inflation, rising food prices, monkeypox, the Russian/Ukraine war and the elites trying to ruin the world disappeared.

4. If I could create one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, it would be no animal cruelty at all.

Welcome to The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ~ It Did Break 40C Last Week, Follow the Floof Day 8 and Smooch Caught Red-Pawed Sleeping On The Job **PLUS** BBHQ Q&A Who Sounds Like A Politician?

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

We hope wherever mew are that your week has been fabulous and the weather is clement! 

First up in the news this week

It did break 40C last Chewsday at BBHQ, the hottest ever day ever in the history of Mewton-Clawson and it remained warm until the weekend.

Luckily we have a portable air-con unit for upstairs which the P.A. purrchased way back in 2015, so sleeping wasn't a problem, but the house was still heaving with heat for days after as the bricks slowly cooled down.

We've had a few light showers but nothing noteworthy yet, and in the news, it said that we're headed for a drought. If it's not one thing it's another, and it's all bad.

 Mew know ever since covid appeared, it's just been bad news after bad news, and when we thought things were improving Russia declared war on Ukraine, fuel and energy prices soared into outer space and continue to head off into uncharted territory, food prices are increasing daily, inflation is in another universe, and then monkey-pox decides it wants to join the endless bad news pawty.

It's like wow - seriously what the fluff is going on?

Next up in the news

Well after the bad news segment above, we thought we needed to share something much, much lighter, so Fudge is here with more Follow the Floof!

Fudge decided to stalk a pigeon up the tree and went into full purredator mode!!! MOL

Smooch Caught Red-Pawed Sleeping On The Job

Can mew believe that Smooch was caught snoozing on the job?  WOW, we can't either! MOL

We checked our Twitter account, and yes we are following both of mew! But we don't go on Twitter a lot, we're more on Instagram and TikTok. 

Although on TikTok we only share vids, we're more sociable on Instagram.

Memories of Eric and Flynnsaid on last weeks News Round-Up

I hope none of the fires are near you. Most of the fires this way are moorland, most likely caused by people being careless with BBQs!

On Chewsday evening aka the hottest day, we could smell burning grass and see a plume of smoke further down the village near another cousin of the P.A.'s. So she made a call to see if they were burning and if they needed assistance, but it was all ok, thank goodness. 

There was a huge fire on one farm further up from the P.A.'s business, and sadly a lot of woodland was scorched too.

We hope all is well in your neck of the woods too! 

Cathy Keishasaid on Amber's Surprise book review

Great book review altho the fill-in answers sounded a bit like a politician skirting around the issues. 

The P.A. is laughing, no one has ever compared her to a politician before, she's normally accused of being too blunt and basically shooting at point-blank range with zero regard for fall-out! LOL LOL

OHHHHHH nice idea, and yes they would make excellent voodoo dolls!

WHAT'S IN THE BOX? A BBHQ Product Review featuring Gus & Bella Purr for Nature Box

Their subscription boxes are always an utter delight to open, mew never know what mew going to discover, but mew do know it's going to be fabulous!

The Purr for Nature box was full of fabulous things all inspired by their sustainability, which we love.

The felted wool balls and catnip cushion were very well received as were the Catit treats and tuna.

The P.A. was thrilled with the reusable straws with a bag and cleaning brush. The shopping bag is a handy addition to keep in her handbag, and the wooden keyring will be used for the potting shed door, a purrfect match. 

As we've found with each Gus & Bella box we've reviewed, they are expertly curated and guaranteed to purrlease most cats and their staff.

For context, so mew know how good the quality is on the items they pick for the boxes; in the November 2019 box there was a mug with Don't Stress Meowt printed on it - that mug is the P.A.'s favourite. It goes in the dishwasher at least four times a week, and it's still going strong nearly three years later.
