Mancat Monday at BBHQ with Smooch and Did Mew Know This?

Mancat Monday at BBHQ with The B Team ©BionicBasil ®

It's Mancat Monday, mew know what that means today and Smooch is here again sharing his exceptional, tripawed manlycatness and a mild purrchant fur catnip

Doesn't he cut a magnificent specimen of a ruggedly handsome mancat?

We've also turned this fab picture into a puzzle, so play and see if mew can beat our time of 7 mins 38 secs.

Did mew Know this About Smooch?

We know in his last mancat pin-up post we revealed 3 things, but did mew know this...

Smooch always wants to help/snoopervise the P.A. in the craft room when she is making stuff fur our Crafting with Cats posts, and this week was no exception! MOL

Can mew see the green fabric? of course mew can - well that's part of our upcoming craft post fur our Easter Special, and Smooch was really wanting in on the action, though the P.A. reckons he was only there because the huge box of catnip was open!

Smooch said, and I quote, "The utter nerve to insinuate I was only there fur the primo nip - I'm deeply wounded by such an unfounded accusation!"

Then I had to point out that he'd got catnip stuck to his chin, plus there was photographic and video evidence - OOPS!

Smooch in the Catnip on Mancat Monday at BBHQ ©BionicBasil®

Check out the video evidence on Instagram, and keep up to date with our Lockdown Diary.

So we'll leave mew to admire Smooch a while longer, and we'll see mew on Wednesday when we're back with our usual blog hop on The Pet Parade, until then...

Keep calm and do manlycat things!

Stay well, stay safe and stay at home

Feline Fiction on Fridays #126 at Amber's Library featuring Kids Lit **Why is Snot Green?** by Glenn Murphy PLUS Friendly Fill-Ins

Supurr salutations pawesome furiends

*waves paw*

Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library.

I do hope mew are all staying and home and staying safe if mew can, and for all those on the front-line we at BBHQ salute mew, and give much thanks for your continued fight in this war against covid-19.

Today the P.A. has temporarily closed her garage business for the next few weeks.  Her grandfather started the business in 1924 and in all those years it hasn't ever had to close for anything even when its been flooded its still been open with business as usual happening, in fact in WWII the war office tried to confiscate all 6 petrol pumps off the forecourt as fuel was severely rationed, but Grampa Fred still stayed open.

A completely contactless service has been operating for the last two weeks with extra PPE [purrsonal protection equipment] and cleaning implemented to keep staff and customers safe, and the staff still wanted to continue to work and to stay open next week.  So it's been a real hard week with tough decisions to make, and the P.A. and dad decided that today at noon the gates will shut to keep everyone safe as cases are on the increase; last night in Nottinghamshire the number was up to 94, double what it was a few days ago.

Therefore we will be holed up in our compound at BBHQ for the next few weeks, only venturing out locally on short recon missions for necessities, such as; cat food, kibble and catnip, oh and food for the P.A. and dad too!

We've been watching how some peeps are just carrying on as normal without a care, refusing to comply with our Governments rules.  What selfish, stupid flufftards; these are the morons spreading it around.  We can only stop the spread when the virus doesn't have any more hosts to infect, and the way to do this is to stay the fluff away from everyone, STAT!

This week we're also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the fabulous 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs

1. My favorite outdoor activity is _____________________.

2. One positive aspect of social isolation is __________________________.

3. It’s fortunate that _________.

4. I have _________ memorized.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. My favorite outdoor activity is walking/hiking and then gardening.

2. One positive aspect of social isolation is it helps stop the spread of this deadly virus.

3. It’s fortunate that I really like my own company, actually I am a bit of a recluse under normal circumstances.

4. I have nothing memorized; that's what notebooks are for, especially the beautiful Paperblank ones! LOL

And now it's time to share this weeks book.

Why is Snot Green?
And other extremely important questions (and answers) from the Science Museum

by

Glenn Murphy

Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:

Why is snot green? Do rabbits fart? What is space made of? Where does all the water go at low tide? Can animals talk? What are scabs for? Will computers ever be cleverer than people? Discover the answers to these and an awful lot of other brilliant questions frequently asked at the Science Museum in this wonderfully funny and informative book.

>^.^<

I was a little skeptical when I furst picked up this book, but aftur getting snuggled in my nest and getting started I found it to be seriously pawesome!
Book Reviews with Amber and Melvyn #126 ©BionicBasil® Amber reading Why is Snot Green
Not only does it explain why snot is green, it is full to bursting with fun facts about space, sciency stuff, weather phenom-a-nom-noms, human anatomy, anipals, robots plus AI and oodles of other interesting things.

So if mew're looking for a fun book to entertain the youngsters in your family or even yourself during this lock-down, I would really recommend this.  Plus it makes learning fun for the youngsters with its informal approach and it has illustrations throughout.

There are more books in the series, so if mew like this one, mew can get your mittens on several others too.

Thanks Melvyn, mew picked a really great book!

Give it a whirl, mew'll be surprised at what mew might learn.

Pandora Sunning on The Bench ©BionicBasil® The Pet Parade 345
Pandora was making the most of the weather early yesterday.

Also this week, mew may remember a couple of weeks ago we mentioned our veg crop plans and last week we showed mew our little pots full of seeds on a sunny windowsill.

Great news!

What's Sprouting at BBHQ ©BionicBasil® The Pet Parade 345
these are pea seedlings

The purple broccoli, peas and several others have sprouted and will be ready to be potted on soon.

On Monday we also planted some flowers too; sweet peas in 6 varieties, and nasturtiums in two varieties. Today we've got some more flower seeds to plant so we'll let mew know what they are next week.

We also did some geranium cuttings from last years plants, it may be a little early but we thought we'd have a go! MOL

And finally this week, the ladybirds have woken up!
Ladybirds ©BionicBasil® The Pet Parade 345
The P.A. has been supurr careful recently while wurking in the garden so as not to disturb any hibernating bugs.  But this fabulous sunshine has woken them all up and they are effurywhere, yesterday she counted at least 25 ladybirds sunning themselves in various flowerbeds around the garden.

She also saw a bright yellow butterfly aka Brimstone fluttering around the courtyard, plus some solitary bees, a dragonfly and two Peacock butterflies.

So it's all happening at BBHQ!
