Furstly, sorry I'm late, the P.A. came down with a nasty cold on Thursday. But better late than neffur is what I say! MOL

Anyhoo, as mew know, it's the countdown to Valentine's Day this week, so I thought I'd share one of my favourite posts from 2018. When I was completely surprised by the arrival of several anonymouse Valentine's cards, read on to see what happened...
OH MY GOSH! OH MY CAT!  I'm so excited I can barely contain myself... mew'll neffur believe it, but I've neffur had a Valentine's card, like effur and then today I got five!  Can mew believe it?

I got five cards from mystery admirers, I'm speechless!

I could dream about that fur hours... Cloud cuckoo here I come!

Meanwhile, Parsley and Basil were having a private conversation under the stairs.

"Dude, has she got the cards?" Basil asked in a hushed tone.

"Yes, and she thinks they're from her admirers at the pole-dancing club!" Parsley smiled.

"Brilliant dude, and is she happy?" Basil asked.

"Dude, she's on cloud cuckoo and began saying something about getting books instead of cards next year!" Parsley chuckled.

"That'd be right!" Basil replied grinning. "Let's see if she's this happy when we ambush her with an intervention next week!"

Here Comes Valentine Cat

by

Deborah Underwood

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Cat does NOT like Valentine's Day. It's much too mushy, and no way is he making a valentine for anyone- especially not his new neighbour, Dog.

Dog refuses to respect the fence: he keeps tossing over old bones and a hitting Cat in the head! But just as Cat's about to send Dog an angry "valentine" telling him exactly what he can do with his bones, Dog throws a ball over the fence.

Now I don't think I've reviewed anything fur this age group before, normally as mew know I'm all fur a cozy mystery or two and a gritty thriller, or a bit of sci-fi or even some far-out fantasy adventure, but only if its got cats in.  But while I was purrusing Amazon looking fur something to share with mew today, I saw the cover and I was smitten immediately by it.

Even though book this is fur much younger readers, ages 3 - 5 to be exact, I thought it was the cutest thing effur!

Now call me an old grump; which until I received all my beautiful valentines cards this morning I was... so I could relate to Cat who's not a fan of the loved up day on February the 14th!

The books starts with the narrator asking Cat if he has any valentines day plans and Cat replies with a picture of a heart with a line through it. The 'script' is really sweet with a lovely message and Cat's pictures just bring it all alive.

The illustrations are so cute, in fact effurything about this book is adorably cute, so much so that I'm actually having a complete cuteness meltdown MOL, but seriously if mew have children or grandchildren, nieces, nephews or godchildren this little book is so much fun and really brings a smile.

If that's not wurth getting it fur, then I can't think of anything else to say.

Except that, there are other books in series, which no doubt I'll share with mew at some point throughout the year.

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and don't furget that I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just fur mew. And don't furget to stop by my book review page to catch up on any that mew may have missed.

Happy reading or listening

Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library

I was going to tell mew what a hideously busy and offurwhelming week I'd had in the library and how it had been nigh on impossible fur me to choose a book fur mew this fabulous Good Friday, and a whole host of other excuses, but sadly dearest furriends this old gal was caught out in the most epically epic way... OOPS!

Amber Relaxing in the Catservatory ©BionicBasil® Feline Fiction on Fridays #97

Yep, this old gal was caught snoozing [well actually it was almost coma-esque] in the catservatory and partially upside down too!  It was so warm in there, and it just lulled me into the bestest slumber effur, in fact I had no control at all and resistance was completely futile! MOL

The P.A. did remind me on Wednesday that I needed a book and from my semi-upside-down placement I replied, "Yeah, yeah yeah... it's all in paw, don't mew wurry your little self about it!"

Then holy moly, jumpin' juniper berries, I realised it was the 11th hour and 59th minute and I had no post - shame on me.

So it would appear my feeble excuses aren't going to cut the mustard in any capacity today, so many apologies about that.  But neffur fear I have a back-up plan to entertain mew and that's where we're headed right now... so let me re-share this weeks book.

Here Comes The Easter Cat

by

Deborah Underwood

Here's a small snippet of the book blurb:

Why should the Easter Bunny get all the love? That's what Cat would like to know. So he decides to take over: He dons his sparkly suit, jumps on his Harley, and roars off into the night. But it turns out delivering Easter eggs is hard work.

*    *    *

Mew may remember that I also reviewed, Here Comes Valentine Cat.  Well I saw that there were several other books in this series and I added this one to my 'to buy list' and guess what I got it instead of an Easter Egg, I didn't need the extra calories anyway and as I said earlier this book is completely calorie-free! MOL

It is totally adorable, full of delightful illustrations and a really cute, but meaningful story.

If mew have younger children, or nieces, nephews, grand-kids etc, then this would be an ideal Easter book just fur them.

I think the author has a great formula wurking here and I will share more in the series as they're just too cute not to!

Seriously though mew don't need kids to buy this book, buy it fur yourselves and enjoy, give the kiddies another egg! MOL

Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #64 featuring Here Comes The Easter Cat

Welcome To

With me, Amber ~ The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Supurr salutations pawesome furriends

*waves paw*

Hello my beautiful furriends, I do most sincerely hope that mew all had a totally terrific Easter. Mine turned out better than expected as, if mew recall Basil was tormenting me last week by saying I couldn't have any of the secret formula nip Easter eggs that they'd made, aftur finding Humphrey's secret recipe in his old lab.

Well, let me tell mew, I was not bothered in the slightest and asked the P.A. rather nicely if it would be pawsible to have another treat instead of nip eggs.

Let me tell mew, that really earned me some brownie points as the P.A. thinks I'm taking my new exercise regime to another level by reducing treats - little does she know I have 30+ boxes of Dreamies stashed in a secret room behind one of the bookcases in the library.  That's why I have library mice, they protect my stash from others and I pay them in choc chip cookies, a total bargain.

So anyhoo, the P.A. thinks I've voluntary reduced my calorific intake all on my lonesome and she's thrilled, so much so that she rewarded me with books - YES OMC mew read that right, she bought me 4 new books and I'm sharing one with mew today.

So lets hop to it as I think it's time to share more of this weeks book.

This week I'm sharing

Here's the book blurb:

Why should the Easter Bunny get all the love? That's what Cat would like to know. So he decides to take over: He dons his sparkly suit, jumps on his Harley, and roars off into the night. But it turns out delivering Easter eggs is hard work. And it doesn't leave much time for naps (of which Cat has taken five-no, seven). So when a pooped-out Easter Bunny shows up, and with a treat for Cat, what will Cat do? His surprise solution will be stylish, smart, and even-yes-kind.
