Hello gorgeous library guests

and

Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ

Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and I have gotten over my little hissy fit from last week.

I decided after seeing last week's exceptionally grumpy picture that this week I needed some more sweetness and light in my life. I also concede that Melvyn was correct in his observation, that I did look like I was chewing a wasp, and I have apologised and given him a library bonus of an entire, unopened bag of Dreamies - ok so I filched them from the bunker, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Plus I reasoned to move on and just let it go, as I don't need all those angry and toxic feelings consuming me at my time of life, but if I ever, EVER find out who didn't put my library stamp back properly, they're going to get a very severe lesson on how to put things back in their place!

Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. If you see me ____________ it means ____________________.
2. I am feeling _______________about _____________.
3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when _________.
4. I would like to swap lives with _________ for a day.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. If you see me running it means the zombie apocalypse is upon us.

2. I am feeling hissed off about what's happening in the world. The most absurd thing I read this week is the Premier of Victoria, Australia is purportedly trying to pass an agricultural bill to stop individuals/private citizens within the state from growing their own produce/food/veg/fruit citing bio-hazard issues, like what the fluffing fluff?

3. I wish I could go back and relive the moment when: there are so many things I'd love to revisit: like the time I won every first rosette at the gymkhana with my epic pony Charlie. The time I went to the rescue and brought Basil home, in fact, every time I went to the rescue and brought one of The B Team home, there are lots and lots of epic moments worth reliving, far too many to mention here.

4. I would like to swap lives with no one for a day.  If you swapped with someone super-rich or really famous, you'd only be disappointed at how empty and unfulfilling their life was masqueraded beneath the guise of all that slathered on glitz and glam. You'd also discover how lonely their life is, and that they really live in self-imposed prisons, albeit very luxurious ones; they also can't go anywhere alone as it's not safe, and you'd have to have endless security protecting your person, and you could never trust anyone with anything, that's not a life, that's pure torment in my eyes.

File M For Murder
Cat in the Stacks Mystery Book 3

by

Miranda James

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Athena College's new writer in residence is a famous native son, playwright Connor Lawton, known for his sharp writing--and sharper tongue. After an unpleasant encounter, librarian Charlie Harris heads home to a nice surprise: his daughter, Laura, is visiting and will be subbing for another professor this fall semester. It's great news until he hears who got her the job: her old flame, Connor Lawton...

Fearing competition for Connor's affections, one of his admirers tries to drive Laura out of town. And then, before Connor finishes the play he is writing, he is murdered--and Laura is the prime suspect.

Finally as promised on Review 200, I'm here with book 3 in the Cat in The Stacks series.

I really don't know how I managed to mess up the sequencing of reviewing this series, but I'll just put it down to old age and a lapse in memory! MOL

So what did I think about File M for Murder? As with all The Cat in the Stacks series so far, this one didn't disappoint. In this story, Charlie's daughter gets introduced into the main cast of characters, and then she's thrust centre stage as the murderer, but as mew all know that's not right, and it's just another detour via the Red Herring Express.

A well-plotted and paced story with all the necessary dead-ends and twists and turns and a gaggle of suspects is slowly whittled down as Diesel and Charlie close in on the real culprit.

And I know I've said it before if mew love your kitty cozy mysteries, this series is a total must-read.

TOP PAW!
