Wordy on Wednesday with Biblio-Kitty Amber #20 The Good, The Bad & The Furry

Welcome To

With Amber ~ The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Wunderpurr greetings fellow book lovers

Welcome to another Wurdy Wednesday in the Library.

It's been a dreadful week weather-wise, and raining since Monday. In fact it rained so hard that the courtyard flooded so access to the library was cut off unless I wanted to get in the dingy with a life jacket on and paddle across, so I went to Plan B; I got on my furry beanbag and watched the world from the comfort of the lounge and it was pawesome.  The woodburner was supurr toasty and to be honest, I've had the best couple of days.

Smoochie had his appointment yesterday, but we'll go more in-depth on Friday's post as today it's all about me! MOL

So let's dive into this weeks book pick.

This week on book reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

The Good, The Bad & The Furry

by

Tom Cox

Here's a little of the book blurb:

Meet THE BEAR - a cat who carries the weight of the world on his furry shoulders, and whose wise, owl-like eyes seem to ask, Can you tell me why I am a cat, please?
And then there's Tom, writing with his usual wit and charm about the unexpected adventures that go hand in hand with a life at the beck and call of four cats . . . or three cats and a sensitive poet who just happens to be a foot high and covered in fur.

Before I begin, I must relay a warning when listening to the audio version of this book:

DO NOT LISTEN TO WHILE OPERATING MACHINERY OR DRIVING A VEHICLE

Why? I hear mew ask, well the P.A. said she wanted to listen to this, so I let her borrow my ipod fur the day.  She connected it to her car and began listening to the book. A short way into the book she was laughing so hard she had tears running down her face, and had to pull offur in a lay-by and take five. Needless to say, the book was switched off until she was safely back at home.

Ok, so my thoughts while I listened as I lay on my beanbag; totally pawesome, really, really funny in places, especially the authors' father and the toad in his shoe, falling asleep on the compost heap and his reply to his son at the end of every conversation, which due to bad language I won't repeat here, but it's too, too funny.  There were so many Meowing-Out-Loud scenes that I lost count!

So if you need some humour in your life get this, seriously get it but get the audio version as the narrator takes it to another level.  I don't think I would have found it quite so humorous if I was actually reading the hard-copy.

Paperback copy: 288 pages

Audio Edition: 5 hours 51 mins long

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time!

Happy reading or listening
