Hello furbulous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and it's the coronation weekend here in the U.K., we're getting a new monarch crowned tomorrow, hence the reason for all the bunting and flags, plus my crown which I find most fetching and I think I should wear one all the time, well if they made a lightweight version! MOL And we even made a new coronation blog header just for the occasion, plus we put bunting up outside BBHQ.
It's strange that we haven't seen as much bunting about locally as there was for the Queen's Jubilee last year, but perhaps a lot of peeps will put it up today, or not.
I'm sorry about my bed-fur again today, and the speck of crunch/kibble stuck to my whiskers, but mew know sometimes it's just nice not to care so much, as it is really tiring being so purrfect all the time! MOL
And if mew were here last week, and read about Melvyn putting a book in the wrong place, well let me just tell mew, I'm investigating that total travesty of poor librianship and have installed a new A.I. watch system to see if he does it again.
Well, I can't have my apprentice fluffing up all my hardwork, and if he gets into bad habits now, there'll be no hope for the library in the future with that kind of lackadaisy attitude.
I thought Melvyn was the cat for the job, but right now I am reflecting on my decision, watch this space as Melvyn might get fired.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. _______________ would make my life easier.
2. My May to-do list includes ____________ and _____________.
3. If my morning starts with_________, I _________.
4. Ending my day with _________ makes me _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. Winning the lottery would make my life easier. Plus just think of how many anipals I could rescue!
2. My May to-do list includes gardening and more gardening, plus painting if the weather is good.
3. If my morning starts with cat cuddles, I am all set.
4. Ending my day with cat cuddles makes me happy.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
Hairless Harassment
Pet Whisperer P.I. Book 3
by
Molly Fitz
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
I never signed up to be a private investigator with a snarky, talking cat for a partner, but there's no backing down now. Especially considering a prominent politician was murdered pretty much right in my backyard.
The only witnesses were the senator's two hairless cats, Jacques and Jillianne. Normally pets want to help us solve their owner's murders, but this time it seems the two devious felines might actually be the ones who committed it…
Surprisingly enough, my own partner in crime, Octo-Cat, actually wants to help this time, but he can barely understand our two prime suspects because of their strange Sphynx accents. And I thought speaking tabby was hard!

I reviewed book one in the Pet Whisperer series, back in March, click here to catch up if mew missed it, and click here for book 2. I also reviewed another series by Molly Fitz, so if mew want a recap on those, click here to find out more.
On with the review, so what did I think book three in the series?
Octo-Cat is on rare form as he and Angie move into his former home; mew'll have to read book one if mew haven't already to get a little more background on Octo-Cat's priviledged life before Angie adopted him.
So, in book three having hardly moved into his former home, Octo-Cat's neighbour is murdered, and the only potential witness's are two Sphynx cats, who he is not too fussed about.
Angie and her feline set about trying to discover who the murderer is, and the list is quite full, as suspects line up one after another as the plot unfolds.
Also, as I progressed with the story the characters grow and develop very well, which is a nice continuation from the previous volumes. The plot unfolds in a timely manner with great pacing and structure, so whether mew're listening to the audio version or reading it, mew'll want to keep listening or turning those pages.
Obviously I'm not going to spoilerize anything for mew, as mew know I don't do that, though I will say I enjoyed book three very much and look forward to book four in the near future, (once I've got down my to-read pile a little more! MOL)
So far this series has met all my expectations of what a good, highly enjoyable cozy mystery series should be, and if like me, mew like a fun, well written murder mystery, then Molly Fitz is definitely going to fill that brief.
And don't forget if mew get the audio version on Audible, look for books 1 - 3 in a box set, and mew can get the Kindle version in a box set too, which saves a bit of cash if mew buy them this way.

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Until next time...
Keep calm and read more books
