Welcome to

The Self-Appointed Biblio-Kitty

Pawesome greetings fellow bibliocats

Welcome to another Wednesday on the blog.

Today I have truly pawesome news, our supurr, smashing, lovely and totally fabulous furiends - The Most Pawesome Tabbies of Trout Towne sent me this beautiful ginormous ladder...

I didn't know if it was a little licentious of me to be all offur it and on it, but then I thought what's better than one Amber on a ladder, and that would be FIVE Ambers on a ladder!!! MOL

Let me say again; furry many, many thanks to the pawesome Tabbies fur making my day, week, year, decade etc... mew have no idea how happy mew've made me...

THANK MEW!

Neffur again will I be teetering on the edge of disaster on my iddy-biddy tippy-toes trying to reach the top shelves, with this ladder I can go all the way to the top shelves and even out of the ceiling if I want, it's just too pawesome fur wurds.   And from a safety aspect, it's just purrfect, Basil did mumble something about the steel construction taking my weight, but he's just jealous.

Anyhoo enough of my posing, let's get to this weeks novel!

This week on Book Reviews with Amber, I'm sharing

Curiosity Thrilled the Cat

Magical Cats Mysteries

by

Sofie Kelly

Well where to start with this fabulous book; Hercules and Owen are two young ferals that take a liking to new librarian Kathleen Paulson when she moves to Mayville Heights, Minnesota.

Owen the tabby, soon develops a hardcore catnip habit [he'd fit in well here! MOL] and Hercules the tuxedo has a penchant fur Barry Mannilow - I have no comment fur that whatsoeffur!   So we have two seemingly ordinary kitties, but are they really? I can answer that without spoilerizing anything and say no, they are NOT ordinary in the slightest, in fact they have some purretty cool talents, magical talents that their new owner can scarcely believe.

When murder strikes in Mayville, Kathleen becomes the numero uno suspect as the victim had a note supposedly written by her after his body is discovered.  And that's when the mystery begins.  The story has plenty of twists and turns and the characters are furry entertaining.

As far as the cozy mystery genre is concerned this is a top read, with great plotting and much to keep mew guessing right to the end.

I haven't had time to read any more in the series yet, howeffur I can assure mew I won't stop until I've completed effury one in the series and luckily fur me, there are seven more novels to go!  This excites me furry much and I've already got the next two on standby, all ready to go.

Paperback copy: 336 pages long

Audio Edition:  10 hours 28 mins long
