Hello gorgeous library guests

and

Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ

Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today. And it would appear I have been caught red-pawed fully submerged in the proverbial catnip jar!

I was just feeling epically smug because I'd found where Parsley had hidden his new credit card.

Mew know when they say, the best place to hide things is in plain sight. Well, Parsley hid his card in my library thinking I'd never look for it there.

I became suspicious because he spent far too much time in the cookery section, and I know he likes to track his macros and the like and he is interested in nutrition, but when I walked down the cookery aisle I noticed Catnip Cupcakes wasn't quite pushed back on the shelf. So, of course, I had to check the book and out fell his credit card.

Well, what's a bookaholic supposed to do? I went on a little online spending spree, carefully replacing the credit card in the cookbook when I'd finished and thought nothing more about it.

Sadly, Parsley's statement arrived on Wednesday, and here we are.

Yes, I am looking rather sheepish, as he knows that I know, that he knows that I spent his money—oops!

Anyhoo, I did explain that they were all military books, guns and ammo etc... and he did calm down when I showed him the latest Gatling, in Guns Just Got Bigger and off he went to order one! MOL

So it was a happy ending for all parties!

Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.

1. I plan to _____________________ in April.
2. My favourite kind of muffin is __________________.
3. _________ always seems to happen when I _________.
4. _________ has been on my to-do list for a long time.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. I plan to get the garden in tip-top shape in April, so BBHQ is ready for the summer. Cat Dad is going to scarify the lawn again, and I hope that this year, it will look the best it has in a few years.

2. My favourite kind of muffin is a double chocolate chip affair or a lovely, moist blueberry monster.

3. Rain always seems to happen when I want to really get stuck into the gardening.

4. _________ has been on my to-do list for a long time. HAHAHAHA!!!! You guys should see my To-Do list, but I don't think you really have that long! LOL The top thing is to get The B Team Adventures into print (this has been at the top since 2018), but that means that the first four have to have a rewrite as they are full of pictures and removing them means that a lot of rewriting will be necessary to fill in what's missing after the pics are gone. And my brain just can't wrap itself around this dilemma at the moment.

My One-Eyed, Three-Legged Therapist: How My Cat Clio Saved Me

by

Kathy M. Finley

       Here's the book blurb:

My One-Eyed, Three-Legged Therapist: How My Cat Clio Saved Me is the story of how an adorable, spunky, gray-and-white kitten helped the author regain the courage to face life's challenges and realize that none of us is truly alone. Born into poverty, losing her dad at age seven, and targeted by bullies, Kathy turned to pets for unconditional love and acceptance. A difficult childhood led to an abusive marriage, but things changed on her fortieth birthday when her staff at the organization where she worked gave her an extraordinary cat named Clio. The runt of the litter, a two-time cancer survivor, and a special needs cat, Clio nevertheless had an incredible will to live full tilt. This intrepid feline knew no fear and displayed unlimited self-confidence. She overcame not one, but two, disabilities. By watching Clio thrive despite what life threw at her, Kathy was able to put her own life in perspective by learning to accept the past, embrace the present, and look forward to the future.

**Firstly I have to let mew all know that I was given a free copy of this book in hardback format in exchange for a fair review**

My One-Eyed, Three-Legged Therapist: How My Cat Clio Saved Me by Kathy M. Finley is a heartwarming and inspiring book that will make mew believe in the power of pets and their ability to heal. This book is a true testament of the bond between humans and animals and how your furry friends can help mew to overcome life's challenges and find inner strength.

Kathy's story is an emotional rollercoaster that will make mew laugh, cry, and feel all the emotions. Her journey from a difficult childhood to an abusive marriage is both heartbreaking and inspiring, and it is Clio, the one-eyed, three-legged cat, who comes to her rescue and helps her find the courage to face life head-on.

Clio is not just any cat; she is a true warrior who has overcome not one but two disabilities. Her indomitable spirit, despite having special needs, and her zest for life are infectious, and by watching her flourish, Kathy learns to view her own life from a different angle, creating more balance and harmony in the present and looking into the future.

This book is a must-read for all pet lovers and anypawdy who needs a little inspiration to get through life's challenges. It will make mew laugh, cry, and feel grateful for the unconditional love and acceptance that your furry furiends bring into your lives. So, grab a box of Kleenex, get snuggled with your furry friend, and get ready to be inspired by the incredible bond between Kathy and Clio.

(This heartfelt story really hit a cord with the P.A., because if it wasn't for Smooch, our little tripawd hero, her life could have been completely different now. He saved her from being paralysed, or worse; Cat Dad finding the P.A. dead on the kitchen table with a broken neck. So, in my humble opinion, Clio and Smooch are beyond epically epic!)

Tripawds RULE!

A TRULY TOP PAW READ!

I really hope mew enjoy the book if mew choose to read it.

It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.

Until next time...

Keep calm and read more books
