Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Hello from BBHQ. As always, we'll start with the weather report. OH MY FLUFFING COD we nearly combusted on Monday, fur coats and 33 degrees Celsius do not go paw in paw, especially in England, where really it felt like 43 degrees with the fur-frizzing, highly offensive and rather relentless humidity. There wasn't even a breeze outside. Luckily, the fans were on, and the A/C was running in the upstairs bedroom, so we managed to get through it by just a whisker.

It's been pretty warm since our last report, but at least over the weekend, there was a lovely breeze, which made it just a tad more tolerable. The P.A. even considered bringing out the pop-up pool, but then said, 'By the time it's filled, it'll be Autumn!' MOL  (Yes, our water pressure is really that bad!) (There's nothing like paying £100's and £100's for water a year, just for the shareholders to get great dividends while the infrastructure crumbles around us - yep great business, and now they're putting it up again to pay for infrastructure work - genius's. Our bill has increased by 100% over the last five years. Good old Blighty! MOL)

The heat also fried the PC in the BBHQ office over the weekend; the screens went KERPUT. So, apologies for not hopping along last week. If we could have seen anything, we would have hopped on Caturday morning as usual. But the computer said NO. CatDad is looking for an upgrade this week, so we don't have to limp along like we have been doing of late.

Anyhoo, we've just got to share this with mew, because we are so excited, remember the other week when we found The Four Leaf Clover kit?

And then the P.A. finally got around to planting the 20+ year old seeds?

But then the squirrel went and dug through the pots mentioned in last week's post?

We thought they were toast. BUT the P.A. never lost hope, she kept watering and checking them, and then one little green shoot appeared late last week. Though even more miraculously, more have appeared since, and here's the proof: this photo was taken yesterday.

JUST LOOK AT THAT EPICNESS!!!

Close-up photo of four-leaf clover seeds sprouting in a terracotta pot on a wooden surface, with tiny green shoots emerging from rich, textured soil. Capturing the early growth stage of lucky clover seedlings, the image is ideal for gardening, plant care, and good luck-themed content on www.BionicBasil.com

Lucky No. 7! MOL

So it just goes to mew, that no matter how old the seeds are, there may be hope!

And before we dive into this week's top stories, we just had to share this rose with mew. Well, it wouldn't be right not to share this, just look at it.

A fully bloomed yellow rose glowing in the BBHQ cottage garden, captured in soft natural light. The vibrant petals unfurl in elegant layers, radiating warmth and charm from a terracotta planter nestled among lush green foliage. This golden blossom, nurtured in the heart of www.BionicBasil.com’s whimsical garden realm, adds a burst of sunshine to the peaceful floral haven curated by the BBHQ cats and the P.A.

We have one word...

PURRFECTION!

Anyhoo, let's look at the top headlines.
A whimsical floral blog divider featuring a vibrant stretch of green grass adorned with tall, delicate purple flowers. Among the blossoms, butterflies in soft hues of blue, lilac, and white flutter gently, creating a dreamy, spring-like atmosphere. The composition evokes a sense of tranquility and gentle movement—an ideal natural break between blog sections or story chapters on BionicBasil.blogspot.com.

First up in the news this week

Smooch Still Says FLUFF THE BASKET

Smooch the black and white cat from BionicBasil.com lies suspiciously on a beige carpet near his outdoor wicker basket, still refusing to enter after it was vacuumed. Wearing a red bell collar and casting a wary glance, Smooch rests at a safe distance as the basket, filled with red blankets, sits untouched beside a white door and patterned doormat. This candid BBHQ moment highlights feline memory, post-cleaning drama, and Smooch’s strong feelings about personal space and suspicious household appliances at www.bionicbasil.com

Smooch is still not purrleased, look at the little grump. If he doesn't change his cattitude, the P.A. will be filling the basket with all kinds of outdoor debris! MOL

Next up in the news

Fudge's Epic Sunpuddle

Fudge the ginger floof from BionicBasil.com basking in a glorious sunpuddle in the BBHQ catservatory. Stretched out on a dark carpet, Fudge lounges belly-up with his fluffy tail extended, soaking up the warmth pouring through sunlit windows. This cozy midday snapshot captures peak feline bliss in the catservatory—BBHQ’s favorite solar hotspot for napping, daydreaming, and recharging those majestic whiskers

Fudge found an epic sunpuddle in the catservatory on Caturday morning. Well, later that day, it turned into a solar flare and scorched the rug. It was that hot! MOL

Yes, the catservatory gets closed around 8am on weekdays, but as it was the weekend, it stayed open until around 9.30 am, so he did get extra warms.

Parsley's Quick Garden Pawtrol at BBHQ

Parsley the Panfur from BionicBasil.com heads back indoors after completing his garden pawtrol at BBHQ. The sleek black cat, wearing his signature green bell collar, is captured mid-stride on the patio, with outdoor wicker furniture and vibrant greenery in the background. This candid photo highlights Parsley’s vigilant patrol duties, feline independence, and the lush, secure environment of the BBHQ garden

Parsley enjoyed a quick garden pawtrol on Friday morning, before he returned inside and parked up on the landing for most of the day, only appearing downstairs for snacks periodically!

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

This week, Melvyn is modelling the first bandana of July. And last week mew voted for the MerCats Bandana.

Smooch does not look very happy, but Fudge does! Parsley wasn't letting the hot weather stop his morning patrol, and Melvyn looks handsome in his bandana.
