Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday from BBHQ! Well, the weather has been a mix of rain, wind and sun, so not too bad, as we need the rain, though the wind has been a bit too fur ruffling for our liking but that said, it's somethimes nice to get that cool breeze especially when it's been a bit humid, which it has.

On Sunday, the P.A. and Cat Dad went to the cinema to watch the final Mission Impossible movie, and what a total disaster that was. Twenty minutes in, they left, as the soundtrack was so unbearably and obnoxiously loud that it was literally a mission impossible to tolerate it! MOL

They were both pretty hissed off,  but after going to the ticket desk to explain, they got two free tickets to visit another time. Have mew ever experienced a movie at the cinema where it was too loud?

Anyhoo, the other day, when in the potting shed, the P.A. found this box of Grow Your Own Four Leaf Clover. Now, this is decades old, dating back well over 20 years, so she decided that she should try to grow the seed.

Grow Your Own Four-Leaf Clover Kit featuring a hexagonal box with vibrant clover illustrations and the text 'Grow Your Own Good Luck!' The kit includes clover seeds and a peat pellet, displayed on a plate, with detailed instructions on the back of the box. A perfect gift for gardening enthusiasts, lucky charm seekers, and those interested in growing their own clovers. Featured on www.bionicbasil.com

Here's what came in the box, so we'll keep mew posted on the germination, or not, as the case may be.

Years ago, at Nanny's and Grampaw's house, there used to be a small stone trough near the front door, and that used to be full of four-leaf clovers. The P.A. picked no end and laminated them, and she still has them today.

And below is one of our favourite roses, in full bloom.

A stunning pink rose in full bloom, set against a backdrop of lush green leaves and a rustic brick wall. The delicate petals showcase intricate layers, creating a visually captivating floral display. This vibrant garden flower embodies natural beauty and seasonal charm, making it perfect for botanical enthusiasts, gardening blogs, and floral photography inspiration. Featured on www.bionicbasil.com.

This one sits by the back door, so it's lovely to see every time mew walk in and out of the house.

The potted box tree on the other side of the back door has sadly died, (it was 18 years old), so we need to replace that in the coming weeks, and the box hedging on the patio near the gazebo has a massive caterpillar infestation and is looking a little worse for wear right now. So the P.A. has bought a product that has something called nematodes in it, which are bird and bee friendly and will help with the caterpillars' ravenous appetites. So we'll let mew know how that goes...

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week

Smooch, Melvyn & Fudge Making A Request

Smooch, Melvyn, and Fudge—three stylish cats from www.bionicbasil.com—pose together in a cozy indoor setting, showcasing their unique feline personalities. With distinct fur patterns and expressive eyes, this trio embodies the charm of pet fashion and cat companionship. Yesterday at about 8:30 am, this was the queue at the patio door. Yep, the request was put in, but by the look on these three faces, the response was not fast enough!

The P.A. had just been to feed the tadpoles, and obviously, without snoopervision, another crime committed in the eyes of the waiting trio! MOL

  1. You three don't look very patient waiting at the door. Dang, that's too bad about the movie soundtrack.

  2. So many venues are too loud. If the movie is any good, maybe catch it on "video" later, whatever that means now.

That's a beautiful rose and I'm glad you've all had at least some outdoor time, although it looks like not quite quickly enough to satisfy everyone.

Melvyn, you did a great job. I'd love to see those Bugs and Bugs soon.

And dare I say it, good luck with the four leaf clover project!

  3. I hope the four leaf clovers germinate. The rose looks lovely. We had heavy rain forecast through Monday night for about four hours. They didn't mention the gale force winds that would accompany it, and that it would last more than 10 hours! When we opened the bedroom curtains the garden was full of rose petals! Poor Eric's rose was fully out with 10+ roses on it, all ruined. At least he has a lot more buds coming. The other roses didn't fare as badly.
You three didn't look happy to have to wait to get into the garden, but Pandora looked happy on the fence.
Melvyn looks smart in his bandana. I vote for caticorns next time.

  4. I just love seeing all of your smiling furry faces. And look at that Rose it is incredible. Melvyn you look great in any bandana you wear.

I pick #1 for next week.

I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

  8. Looking good Melvyn. You all look great. I wish Amber was in the mix. We still haven't seen the last Mission Impossible movie. They are so long. Glad they gave you more tickets. I have always felt the movies are too loud. XO

  9. We sure hope that four leaf clover works out for you. Good luck is always welcome, right?
Smooch, Melvyn, and Fudge: sorry you had to wait to get out into the garden -- you look mighty displeased. As did Parsley after getting caught in the rain! At least Pandora looks happy on the fence and catching some sun. Melvyn , that bandana looks epic, for sure. How about caticorns next week? XO
