Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and it's been a slow week in the library as I've been snoozing oodles in the catservatory because it's been so lovely and warm in there.
I did go outside briefly to check if it was warm enough for a snooze under the gazebo, but not yet; I'm thinking at least another 10 degrees celsius is required for that.
I had a quick look in the potting shed, and though it was warmer than the gazebo, I decided the catservatory was a veritable heat-bath in comparison! MOL
How's the weather where mew are this week?
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. _________ is a non-cat related blog I follow.
2. My favorite place to shop online for _________ is _________.
3. _________ has been keeping me busy lately.
4. If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. www.llbinourbackyard.blogspot.com is a non-cat related blog I follow. It's a dog blog! LOL
2. ONE of - My favorite place to shop online for fabric and sewing stuff is www.flamingofabrics.co.uk.They have some really fun fabrics as I'm always on the lookout for new prints to make the snuggle mats, and yes, the stock is starting heap up now. Hopefully, I might get the shop open this year.
3. Gardening has been keeping me busy lately. There are so many jobs to do, and I want to build a deck in the back corner of the garden; it was planned before my accident, and I'm hopeful that this year it might get done.
4. If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self; buy a lottery ticket with these numbers on this date! LOL But seriously, I'd say go train to be a psychiatrist and don't work for the family business, go and do your own thing.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
How To Speak Cat: A Guide to Decoding Cat Language
by
Aline Alexander Newman and Gary Weitzman
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
We know cats are beautiful, secretive, and independent ... but even the most loyal cat owners are often baffled by their own pet's behavior. With veterinarian expert Dr. Gary Weitzman as a guide, this fun book helps kids understand what cats are trying to communicate by their body language and behavior. So if you've ever wondered what Fluffy means when she's purring or moving her tail emphatically from left to right - this book is for you!
So what did I think about this week's top book pick? I really, really liked it. While I feel most veteran cat owners would probably know the majority of the information shared but that's not to say they wouldn't enjoy it, I think they would. However, for newbie cat pawrents I can see this would be a supurr book to have, and for teaching children about cats, I don't think mew could get a better instruction manual!
It's full of useful info to assist in navigating the rather complex ways of us cats; there are sections on body language, facial expressions, tail positions and many, many more categories all accompanied with oodles of cute cat pictures.
I think mew could purrobably call this a how to guide, and it really does deliver, so if mew're looking for the purrfect pressie for any cat lover, and as a gift for a newbie cat mum/mom or dad, I think this would be epic.
A really top paw read!
