Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and I've been prowling around the library this week looking for a misplaced book.
Melvyn my supurr helpful book slave oops sorry I meant intern, was supposed to put this purrticular tome; The Mystery Of The Mewton-Clawson Triangle, original binding author unknown which I'd just obtained from a Jumble Sale in the Church Hall the other day.
It was supposed to go on the Weird & Wunderpurr shelf, but sadly he was distracted by the latest edition of Really Big Guns by Bomber Cordite, the wurld renowned weapons expert which was just delivered to the library while he was on his way to Weird Section, and now I have no clue where's he's deposited it, and he can't remember either!
Anyhoo, Melvyn still has his nose stuck in Really Big Guns, so there's no point in me asking him to find it, so I think I'm going to offer the library mice a rather hefty cheese bonus if they can locate it for me, as to be honest I'm too old for this kind of drama and the sofa in front of the woodburner is beckoning.
1. My favourite Christmas _________ is _________.

The P.A.'s answers are...

2. This holiday season I will miss all the usual festive goings-on.
3. I would like Santa to bring good cheer and good health to all.
4. You might find - you won't find anything under my Christmas tree this year - if pressies were put under the tree Smooch would widdle on them and I prefer my pressies widdle-free! LOL
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time.
This week's top book pick is:-
Mewton-Clawson Library Copy
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Anna Romano is a middle-aged, Italian woman who is also a successful published author, a cat-mama, and an excellent cook with a hankering for Italian cuisine. She lives by herself in her quaint house, in a quiet community, with a white picket fence in Central New Jersey.
When she is not writing her next book or hosting book-signing events with her publicist, she is cleaning litter boxes and baking Cannolis…but never at the same time, of course!
In this first installment, on a typical day in Anna's somewhat-perfect life, a book-signing event turns her world upside down. Is it a case of mistaken identity or was she just being paranoid?
Owning 7 cats makes it a winner for sure, and this book although only 128 pages or just under 3 hours listening really packs a lot into the story.
It's very fast-paced, and as I had the audio version I found the narration wurked really well. There are some quite funny parts and some tense, suspenseful plotting too. In fact, I have to say I'm really surprised at how much excitement and action the author crammed into such a small book.
If mew're looking for a new cozy mystery series, I think this one would be a must-have for your library.
There are 3 books in the series at the moment, with the latest being published this year, so with a bit of luck the author will be adding more, well I hope she does, and I'm looking forward to getting my mittens on books 2 and 3 asap!
- Audio Version: 2 hours 42 minutes
- Print length: 128 pages
