Welcome to

Wunderpurr greetings fabulous furriends

Today we're sharing one of our *sponsored posts with mew from the fabulous peeps at...

... who furry kindly asked us a few weeks ago if we'd like to try one of their latest products, and we thought it looked like such a neat idea that we said we'd love to give it a whirl!

So let's show mew what was in the box:

Putting it together took mere moments.  But furst we gave it a wash, dried it and then filled it with our favourite Iams Naturally and we were ready to go.

About Pedaldish:

Now this purrticular dish is not motorized, which we loved because that means no batteries are needed or a mains connection either, which would then limit where it could be used.  And another plus as it's a manual mechanism there's no whirring motor sounds, clunking noise or anything else to put mew off your food.

It is exactly as the manufacturers say; 'a lunchbox fur pets', what does this mean we hear mew ask?

Well in a nutshell, your pet hooman fills your dish daily with fresh food, the lid goes down and when mew feel like a little snack attack is needed, mew just walk up the ramp, the lid opens and voila, giving mew the freshest snacking experience mew can get when your pet hooman is out fur the day, and then when mew're finished the lid closes nice and gently the moment mew step off the ramp.

This is especially pawesome in the hotter months when there's all sort of bugs and flies around which can ruin your food.

Clean up is a breeze, just open the lid, lift the insert out; wash in hot soapy water in the sink, dry and replace and mew're good to go again.  And if any food gets onto other parts of the pedaldish, just wash in the sink and then dry, it really is that simple.

Some light training is required to oppurrate the pedaldish and the manufacturer recommends placing it between a pair of tall boots, like a pair of wellingtons fur instance so that the approach is directly up the ramp from the front.

It comes with full training instructions and if we can do it, mew can too!

There is also a little wedge that comes with the feeder to assist with training.

Mew see all those little holes by the red arrow? of course mew do!  In this pic Smooch has the training wedge to keep the lid open at maximum height, howeffur as mew become more acclimatized to this new way of getting your food the training wedge is slowly moved back into the next row which lowers the lid height slightly.

Keep moving the wedge back as mew become more used to walking up the ramp, until finally mew're opening the lid fully with your body weight and then the wedge is retired.

There are lots of handy tips in the training manual, so don't think fur a second that is mission impawsible, it is furry easy to learn and doesn't take long at all.

The Big Test:

Smooch and Fudge were furst on the scene as the noms were dispensed.  Smooch had no purroblem diving right in and poor Fudge didn't get a look-in! MOL

The maximum lid height allows fur supurr easy nomming as mew can see below and none of us were bothered by it at all.

Check out our little video to see exactly how we got on with it...

As mew just saw I, Basil knew exactly what to do and went straight up the ramp furst time and nommed my heart out - yep it was that good, though Smooch being a little bit slower on the uptake with his sideways approach needs a little bit more training and poor Fudge, well he didn't get a look-in! MOL - OOPS!

Our closing thoughts:

We think that the pedaldish is a really nifty feeder, it's easy to clean, easy to oppurrate and minimal training is required.  It saves mew money on food in the long term, as there's less waste due to the food being kept fresher fur longer with the lid down and who doesn't want to save money these days!

Another really nifty feature is this, mew can put ice under the removable dish insert during hotter weather to keep your food cooler and fresher fur even longer, how pawesome is that? Epically so!

And mew can use this fur your smaller K9's too, so it's not just limited to cats.

Would we recommend this to mew, our fab readers?  In three iddy biddy wurds: Yes we would!

We would like to say a special thanks to the pawesome peeps at Petvictus fur giving us the oppurtunity to try out their fab pedaldish ~ THANK MEW FURRY MUCH!
