Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library.

OH MY COD are mew ready fur this?  I hope mew're sitting down...

I actually went outside!

Well, it lasted less than 32.45 seconds, but I still went outside. It was rather sunny and lovely and warm but I'm just too crotchety to sit out in that and do nothing.

I also made this fab photo evidence into a jigsaw, click here to play at jigsaw planet [my time 8 mins & 06 secs] as Basil wasn't here yesterday due to a glitch in the time-space continuum-nom-nom and a covert mission, don't wurry he'll be back next week and we did have a fab What's In The Box post instead.

We also missed The Pet Parade on Wednesday too cod dammit, so do pop offur to Dash Kitten or Barking from the Bayou to hop along with us this week. Things should be back to normal fur next weeks posting schedule.

This week we're also joining in Friday Fill-ins Bog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs

1. I can’t wait for ________________________ to reopen after the quarantine.
2. I am in no hurry for ___________________________ to reopen after the quarantine.
3. These days, _________ is my default mood.
4. Have I ever told you _________?

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. I can’t wait for the world to reopen after the quarantine, so we can return to normality and can hopefully return to work and begin to feel stable again, and get the economic wheels turning again.

2. I am in no hurry for ----- to reopen after the quarantine. To be honest I can't think of anything for this.

3. These days, keep calm and carry on is my default mood.

4. Have I ever told you, I'm so tired since my accident? Worn out is more like it.

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.

Outwitting Squirrels:

And Other Garden Pests

by

Anne Wareham

Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:

If you have ever waged war against the local squirrels to prevent them from ransacking your garden, you will know that they are wily beasts who can find loopholes in the most cunning of defences. Capable of remarkable feats of tightrope walking and problem-solving, they are formidable enemies indeed and that's not to mention the many other pests who can torment the optimistic gardener, from slugs and snails to moles and deer and from bugs and weevils to fungus and blight . . .

>^.^<

Today I'm back with another one of Melvyn's Top Ten book picks, and I think this is one of his purrsonal favourites from the list as I heard him laughing rather a lot while he was reading it in the library way back in Febraury.  He thought I didn't know he was hiding out among the stacks, but what he doesn't know is I have an epic covert surveillance system installed by Basil of course, to watch effury millimetre of my precious library! MOL

But anyhoo I digress, it must be my age, so what did I think to this book? As mew can see I was laughing my fur off, yes it was a definitely Meow-Out-Loud book in places.  The author has a rather witty and charming way of working through a myriad of potential problems that modern gardeners face today, from dealing with ants and aphids all the way through to weeds. And yes, squirrels are also included, but mew know I don't do spoilers.

If mew're new or old to the gardening scene, this book would be an excellent addition to your horticultural bookshelf as it is full of useful info, and the author has also penned another gardening book called, The Bad-Tempered Gardener which I've just bought as a special gift for the P.A. obviously, I'm not inferring anything at all... or maybe I am! MOL

If mew love gardening, this little gem is fur mew, and if mew're not into gardening, maybe mew should be! MOL

We'll be back tomorrow with our Easter Crafting with Cats Special, so if mew have time come and see how we made our Magic Shroom Scratch'n'Purrch.

Until next time in the library

Keep calm and read on
