Furstly before we start the festivities we'd just like to say a monster-sized thank mew to all our furriends, new and old fur being faithful readers of our blog as without mew there'd really be no point! 

So we send mew much gratitude, purrs, head-bumps and gentle hugs fur visiting our mildly eccentric [yeah right, uber eccentric is more like it! MOL] blog effury week, we love mew guys so much!

And now we'd love it if mew'd honour with your presence at our New Years Eve picnic, deep in the magical woods of Sweepy Ville...

So pull up a cushion, get comfy and we'll get mew a niptini post haste and a plate full of nibbles while we watch the stars come up and the New Year come in!

Supurr salutations pawesome pals 

Welcome to another Friday on the blog, this week as it's been much warmer we've been in the garden checking on the cat-mint growth.  I asked effurypurrdy to each pick a plant and report back post-haste.  Aftur waiting fur an hour I decided to see what the hold-up was and this is what I discovered...

Humphrey, sorry Grumpy said, "If it's not ice cream flavour I'm not interested, now go away!"

Obviously he still hasn't gotten offur the ice cream incident last week.

Posie sent us a message via the cloud and said, "I'm just getting an empty box ready to send fur my share of this years crop!"

Amber, Snowie, Smoochie and Parsley were howeffur taking their reporting to an entirely new level.

Smooch said as I caught him immersed in his chosen plant, "Basil it's most import-tante that I do rigorous testing as the plant may need a few extra mewtrients and a root booster fur more vigorous growth, and I'm also monitoring pest control!" 

Well what can mew say to that, he takes his duties furry seriously.

When I approached the others, who were also in the total-immersion-zone and asked them fur their reports, they said and I quote,

"Same as what Smooch said!"

It seems that the team are rigorously testing all quality control factors to the highest order, which I find rather admirable as this year the plan is to cut and dry some to make our furry own catnip supply.  

The P.A. bought an extra 6 plants a couple of weeks ago, so we can hopefully have copious supplies of 'bionic nip!' MOL MOL

In other news, the P.A. has been travelling, so we're sorry we haven't visited mew all this week, she does howeffur assure me that this will be rectified post-haste.

 Summer is Here!


Supurr salutations pawesome pals it's [almost] summer!

We decided to take a mini excursion the other day and went on a day-trip to the seaside as a furrmily, and as mew can see from our photo today, this is the heathen hoard vacationing! MOL

Humphrey insisted on wearing his tweed flat-cap and then turned into Mr Grumpy because he dropped his ice cream on his newspaper, he ended up sulking in the beachhut all afternoon.  Amber packed effurything but the kitchen sink and spent the entire day between reading her novel making sure that effuryone had their sunscream on, were wearing hats and keeping well hydrated.  Angel Posie just did her thing aftur getting a little too hydrated, and snoozed the day away under the beach brolly.   

Parsley and Smoochie had a great time, but then they are total heathens so why wouldn't they?! MOL They took their water pistols, an inflatable Shamu, a beach ball, buckets and spades, howeffur I did draw the line at the jet ski's - let's just say they were prepared fur fun.  Snowie put a flower behind her ear and sauntered off offur the sand dunes without a care in the wurld, saying she was going to connect and commune with nature...

As fur me, I put on my shades so I'd be completely incognito and cruised around in stealth while partaking in some of the local refreshments.

We all had a terrifically splendid day, apart from Humphrey!

In other news this week, we were invited to Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium in London fur the Top Cat Tea Pawty to celebrate the new Warner Bros movie, Top Cat Begins


 As it was my birthday the same day and my pawty already organized with the invites posted, we sent the P.A. fur a day out.  Aren't we thoughtful?! MOL

We'll be posting about the day and what happened next week, lots of pictures were taken, so there's lots to share - sorry to leave mew in suspense but it'll be wurth it!

Friday greeting wunderpurr pals

After the decorating upheaval of last week, it's been rather nice to have a little peace this week.  Admittedly it's been cold the last few days but we did get an oppurtunity fur a bit of 'mill-wheel mayhem!'

Apart from Angel Posie who used to much preferred her soft pudding to rolling on a chiseled lump of stone fur a catnip high.  She figured that if she was meant to have catnip it would appear in her bed, and looking at Humphrey, I think the new spring growth may have been a little too much fur him, he looks like a space-cadet about to enter the green-zone fur sure... MOL

Fur those of mew who don't know about the mill-wheels, we have a few in the garden but the four that are on the edge of the lawn flower border have been planted with catmint fur many years now, as the P.A. got a bit ticked off with us when we repeatedly decimated the pot grown plants and the pots got damaged due to uncontrolled heathen behaviour.  So she decided that planting them in the centre of the mill-wheels gave us the purrfect platform to roll, frolic and chew the blazes out of the catmint.

As mew can see I was flat out and rather floofy [floo-fee] in my pic, but I did enjoy my snooze and thank goodness that there's more than one mill-wheel because I certainly wasn't sharing mine with the rest of the heathen hoard!

In other news quite a few of the bulbs that were planted way back when have finally popped up, so we'll let mew know how they progress and hopefully have some flower-tastic pictures to share.

Salutations Supurr Furriends

Well what a week it's been.  The kitchen has been decorated, so that was a bit of a mammoth task as all the curtains and blinds were washed, the rugs shampooed and effurything cleaned to the brilliance of a shiny new pin.  Obviously we were directing the proceedings as the P.A. did all the scrubbing, cleaning, ironing and replacing of all items [too many to mention] after the decorator had finished.

Parsley decided his coat wasn't glossy enough and tried to see if rubbing up again the white gloss paint would improve his already impressive sheen.  We can wholly confirm that the white gloss did nothing fur his glow, but what it did was leave little tufts of black fur stuck on the newly painted radiator cover! MOL

 The P.A. stated that, "Decorating with a heathen cat hoard is no fun whatsoever!"

Also after my remark below, the P.A. went on to mutter several unspeakables, none of which I shall repeat here as we like to keep things a PG rating! MOL
Smoochie also decided to make sure that effurypurrdy had a lesson in Health & Safety, and this is his brief introductory seminar on  'How to oppurrate a ladder safely' as accidents in the wurk-place are appurrently a common occurrence these days due to impropurr training.
As mew can see great fun was had by all [The P.A. excluded] and we are all highly delighted with the result and furry happy that the kitchen is now back to normal.
