Pawesome Wednesday Greetings Furriends
Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!
But furst, we hope mew had an extra lucky St Patrick's Day today/yesterday depending on your time-zone!
In other news...
Guys mew've got to go see the lovely Peaches and Paprika's St Catrick's Day slideshow,
Watch The Video On YouTube
And finally this week...
We've been getting our veg seeds planted and last week the furst wave was set.
So what's growing?
Catnip of course! MOL
Plus peas, broccoli, beans, onions, radish, wild garlic, tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower and carrots etc... oh and just fur the fun of it, we planted some lemon seeds too to see if we can grow a tree! MOL
We also planted some ornamental grasses, as we really like those but don't want to pay £14.99 per plant as we need quite a few, so we're going to see if we can grow a few.
As mew can see we use small pots and put about 5 seeds per pot. Then we place them on a bright windowsill and cover with clingfilm, we check them every couple of days to make sure they haven't dried out and use a spray bottle to gently dampen the compost if they have. We'll keep mew updated on germination as effurything we planted has different rates of growth. Some of the grasses take up to 40 days.
We've also got some large pots outside and we'll be sowing carrots, leeks, and some other stuff this week. We use potato bags fur our spuds and the furst one of those has just been planted too.
The P.A. likes container planting as she can move things about the garden to see where they grow best and it helps in snail and slug evasion too.
Are mew growing anything this year?
