Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Welcome to October, and oh my Cod, the weather has been awful. We've been on flood watch for the last five days, and it's been exhausting. Hopefully, in the next twenty-four, this weather front will fluff right off for good.
And we are sending oodles of prayers after that heinous hurricane barrelled through parts of eastern America. Seriously, we're convinced that there's some complete moronic flufftard in a facility messing with the weather, citing it as climate change, so the powers that be can charge us all more taxes. But let's not talk about that.
On another note, Amber has been up to some bizarre things...
Some of mew will get this if mew've read the book, and for those who don't know what this is all about, Amber is sharing the story on Friday, so stay tuned! MOL
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news
Fudge Dared Melvyn To...
Fudge is a total fluff stirrer. He dared Melvyn to go and ask Amber for some time off this week from the library! Yeah, we know mew can't believe it either...
Anyhoo, she wasn't in her usual snooze spot in the catservatory. She was actually reclining in the sitting room, and upon hearing the commotion coming from the catservatory, she crept into the kitchen and hid.
This is what she heard.
Fudge: "Go on Melvyn, I dare mew to ask Amber for Thursday off." (snigger, snigger, snigger).
Melvyn: "Are mew sure? Mew remember what happened when I asked for a pay rise a couple of weeks ago?"
Fudge: "Oh yeah, ignore that!" (cough, muffled laugh, cough!) "Parsley told me Amber's in a great mood this week, and mew're sure to get a day off!" (snigger, snigger, snigger).
Melvyn: "Oh, that's odd because Parsley told me to avoid her if pawsible because she's preparing her first book review for Friday."
Fudge: "Nah, dude, Parsley got all wrapped around his claws!" (cough, muffled laugh, cough!) "She's in the best mood ever, so mew're sure to get what mew want!"
Melvyn: "Fudge, I'm not sure... but ok, I'll try."
Meanwhile, out of view in the kitchen, this was Amber's response!
Yep, we all knew how that was going to go for Melvyn, didn't we???? MOL
In fact, she still laughing about it somewhere in the stacks.

The rest of The B Team were snoozing rather deeply, as it was blowing a gale outside and the rain was pelting down.
