Well, it's been rainy, dull and overcast the last week at BBHQ, so not much has been happening outside other than a spot of leaf clearing on Caturday.
We added the Halloween header to the blog, as mew know where we're headed at light speed.
The Purrminator adventure is tootling along nicely, and we think Chapter One will be ready for next week. Let me rephrase that; it is ready for next week! MOL
So get your witchy or wizardry hat on, as tomorrow it's going to be EPIC!
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news
Go and recap if mew need to... so anyhoo, the book in question is a supurr rare, signed limited edition called;
Cats'n'G.u.n.s by Sgt. Boomer Hackenfluff
Now, Fudge has been stringing Amber along, but she doesn't mind because the late fees are piling up... let us digress a moment...
The totally terrific Eastside Cats, rather casually mentioned in the comments last week:
Amber, should I tell you that most libraries around us have stopped late book fines?
Just to set the record straight, Amber is conscious that most libraries have stopped the late fees. However, the Mewton-Clawson district has not yet subscribed to this new modus operandi due to Amber being in charge, and what Amber wants, Amber gets. Another way of putting this is that it's Amber's way or NO WAY! It really is that simple.
Amber says mew will continue to pay late fees because she basically needs the cash to buy more books. Therefore, late fees will prevail for as long as Amber decrees it, with price hikes to match the current rate and range of inflation! (She's so fluffing sneaky!)
But thank mew so furry kindly to the epically epic Eastside Cats for being epic enough to mention it, as mew know how Amber can be! MOL
Back to the gossip... so the rumour mill has it, that Fudge was caught confessing to Melvyn, that Cats'n'G.u.n.s by Sgt. Boomer Hackenfluff has actually been b-l-o-w-n u-p.... by mistake; it was not intentional; it was just one of those supurr rare (Yeah, Right!!! MOL MOL!!!) BBHQ mishaps in the firing range after too much catnip very late one Caturday evening or very early one Sunday morning after a wild night in the Nip Nirvana Lounge down on Level 11. (He can't quite remember the timeline.)
It appears that good ol' Sgt Hackenfluff had a rather interesting take on a new g-u-n p-o-w-d-e-r mix, and Fudge mixed it right but didn't read the entire thing, and then it was BOOM, coupled with immediate incineration of said book.
Luckily, Fudge had actually just left the firing range to go and get more supplies, as nothing was happening. He later (much later...) remembered that the new G. P. mixture was created, so it had a one-minute delay before detonation, thereby lulling adversaries into a false sense of security before they were epically ambushed sixty seconds later.
The mixture was called Ambush Armageddon, a fitting name we think. And it really did work, but sadly, Fudge can't remember the recipe, just random flashbacks and the book is gone forever, and Melvyn said after all of this confession. "Dude, I have no words other than a long, long vacation might be a REALLY good idea!"

Finally this week
Fudge was on standby to lend a paw when Melvyn needed a quick tickle and fettle before he strutted his stuff. Oh, mew mew won't want to miss Melvyn's supurr cute roll on his first run, totally adorable!
That's us done for today. Amber and Pandora will be back tomorrow with their spooky Halloween Birthday Pawty, and Amber will be back again on Friday with another fab book just for mew (don't worry, she did the review earlier in the week, as we all know what an old lush she is! MOL), and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:
The B Team's Selfie starring Melvyn
It's been a rather cool week a BBHQ, no rain but dropping temperatures, which, in all honesty, we're not too thrilled about, as our summer was a very hit and miss affair, which a few short weeks of hideous scorchio temperatures and the rest of the time a combination of a complete miserable washout and dull damp-squib days.
But, the weather aside, just look what we've got lined up for mew...
Well, after that unexpected announcement, we'd better get on with the news, so let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news
The radiator has been leaking; the P.A. only just found it, and she wanted to move the desk.
We were not up for that, at all, on any level. So Melvyn and Smooch staged a bit of a sit in and sit on, thus preventing said desk from being moved.
The P.A. has plans today to move the desk by any means necessary, so we're not sure how Smooch or Melvyn are going to deal with that! MOL
We'll keep mew apprised on this story as it unfolds.

Finally this week
Black Cat Surpise was voted for last week, and here he is, looking supurr cute!
From Worrying Sick for Her Own Cat to Vowing to Never Let
Another Cat Go Through
the Same Experience as Her Django
For many of us, our cats are more than just pets—they’re
family. That’s why it’s so
heartbreaking when they suffer in silence, hiding their pain
like the secretive little furballs they
are. This is exactly what happened to Sonita, co-founder of
Feniska, and her beloved cat
Django.
Django developed bladder stones, a painful condition that
went undetected until it was
almost too late. Like many cats, he didn’t show any obvious
signs until the condition had
become severe. Watching him suffer, Sonita felt helpless and
heartbroken. It was a life-
changing moment that led her to vow: that no other cat
parent should have to go through the
same experience.
Determined to find a way to monitor cats’ health more
effectively, Sonita created the Feniska
Base. This smart device keeps track of your cat’s toilet
visits and weight, warning early about
potential health issues. It’s designed to be a simple but
powerful tool for cat parents who
want to stay one step ahead of any problems their cats might
face.
Why the Feniska Base Is a Lifesaver
We all know how sneaky our little furballs can be. They can
hide in the tiniest places, and
unfortunately, they’re just as good at hiding their health
problems. That’s where the Feniska
Base comes in. If your kitty is making more trips to the
litter box than usual or losing weight,
the Feniska Base will alert you via your smartphone. It’s
like having a mini vet at home!
This tracker isn’t just about convenience; it’s about peace
of mind. Protecting our babies and
saving expensive vet treatment costs. For Sonita, it means
that Django’s suffering wasn’t in
vain. It means she’s helping other cat parents avoid the
same heartache she felt. And for all
the cat parents out there, it’s a way to keep your fur
babies healthy—because we know they
deserve nothing less!
Join Us on Our Mission
We’re thrilled to launch the Feniska Base on Kickstarter
this November! Be the first to receive
an exclusive discount, plus additional savings for reserving
the Feniska Base early. It’s our
way of saying thank you for helping us keep more cats safe
and sound. Whether you’re a cat
mom, dad, or admirer of our furry friends, we’d love for you
to join our campaign. Let’s join
paws to make sure no cat has to suffer in silence. Together,
we can create a world where
every purr and every playful leap is a sign of a happy, healthy kitty.
