As mew can see, Smooch, Parsley and Fudge were just hanging about like a trio of furry heathens! Seriously, sometimes I wonder why they just can't behave. Melvyn almost joined them, but I put my paw down firmly and said to my great, great, great (etc.) nephew, "Mew, young Melvyn are not qualified or have had the training to perform such a feat!"

Melvyn replied, "But Uncle Basil, I really want to try."

It was at that point Amber showed him the Library Card and said. "If mew want to keep being my library gofer, sorry intern, then there's no dangling from the bridge like those three fluffers!"

Well, Melvyn not wanting to lose such a prestigious position at the Mewton-Clawson library huffed, mumbled some really filthy expletives and conceded defeat.

And the moral is Never Mess With The Head Librarian, especially ones named Amber! MOL

Here's a little bit of info from BBHQ's Historical Travel Guide, Smooch:

Hello epic travellers and history lovers!

During our recent trip to Shropshire, we had the opportunity to visit the Iron Bridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which holds significant historical impawtance in the Industrial Revolution. The experience was truly captivating, and we were amazed by the structures that played such a crucial role in shaping the modern world.

As we walked around the gorge, we couldn't help but marvel at the remarkable engineering feats accomplished here. The incredible Iron Bridge, which crosses the River Severn, is a pawesome sight and a testament to the skill and vision of the builders. Constructed in the late 18th century, the bridge was a remarkable achievement during a time when iron was a relatively new material, and such structures were unheard of. The bridge's construction revolutionized bridge building and engineering, paving the way for more significant advancements in the future.

Aside from the Iron Bridge, there are numerous other fascinating structures to explore in the gorge. The Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron and the Darby Houses are two excellent examples. These buildings offer visitors a look into the lives of the people who lived and worked in the gorge during the Industrial Revolution. The Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron showcases the history of iron production and the significant role that the gorge played in the industry's development. The Darby Houses, on the other hand, provide insight into the lives of the Darby family, who were pioneers in the iron industry.

Overall, our visit to the Iron Bridge Gorge was a memorable experience that left us in awe of the ingenuity and perseverance of the human spirit. We highly recommend visiting this site to anypawdy interested in history or engineering, or anyone who appreciates beautiful landscapes. The gorge is a testament to how far we've come since the Industrial Revolution and serves as a reminder of the incredible achievements we can accomplish when we work together.

We're off to bask in some sun puddles as it's going to be lovely and warm today, Smooch is waiting for his roast beef, seriously his internal clock is extraordinary! MOL

And this afternoon may involve cutting this year's catnip crop and hanging it to dry, and mew know that is a furry impawtant job, as we don't want to run out of catnip over the winter months!

Do join us again tomorrow, when we're back with another episode of Cats Have Problems Too, and check out this week's Despurrate Dilemma.

We do hope mew have an epic day, and remember to always...
