Rainbow Bridge Tribute for Humphrey & Snowie [The Pet Parade Blog Hop: #192]

 Friday greetings pawesome pals

It is with a furry heavy heart and much sadness that we post today.

Humphrey & Snowie have both departed fur the Rainbow Bridge and now have their beautiful wings.  Both were OAC's [old aged cats] who lived long, long and beautiful lives.  Humphrey was nearly 18 1/2 and Snowie almost 18 years old.

We are obviously devastated by this double whammy more than wurds could effur say as they were the last of the original gang who arrived in Sweepy Ville way back in 2000.  They both passed peacefully in their sleep and are now at The Rainbow Bridge having a wild pawty with all their pals, chasing flutterby's galore and frolicking in endless meadows of catnip, and they're probably recruiting Angel Kitties to join The 'B' Team right now!

Both Snowie and Humphrey said they'd like to be Cloud Oppurratives like Angel Posie from now on, and will be popping back and forth on the blog.

So today furriends, we don't ask fur condolences, only that these two beautiful kitties, our fallen comrades and our bestest fursibs be remembered with much fondness, joy and love.

We miss mew guys more than all the stars in all the galaxies

Poem For Cats

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

  1. Snowie and Humphrey, we are sad that you are gone from here, but happy to know you've got your wings now and that you will be cloud operatives. We know you are young and strong again, and hanging out with Nellie and Moosey and so many others who are already at the Bridge. And so we celebrate your long and amazing lives, and remember you with love and joy. <3

  18. I am so sorry to hear about Snowie and Humphrey. Your posts truly are missed - I noticed you hadn't published on Monday and Wednesday, and I worried that something was wrong. I wish we could keep our babies forever ... the memories and love last a life time - but there will always be a hole where their presence filled our lives. I can't even imagine the sense of loss you must feel at losing both so close together. I wish I had words to bring you comfort and peace. But I'd be honored to hear about and celebrate their lives at the Conference in a few weeks.

  21. I am so sorry for your loss. May it merely be temporary and not be too awfully long before you-all will be spending all of eternity together in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom of Heaven. Now, I cannot say, "Thus saith the Lord," about this as I can other things, but I cannot imagine Heaven being nearly as joyous without our beloved pets being there with us.

  22. Oh Basil... I'm so very saddened by this. Both Snowie and Humphrey? Together? This must be devastating to you and your PA. It doesn't matter how long we cats live, it's never long enough for our peeps.

But you're right about those Heavenly nip fields. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're up there right now, with Nissy, chasin' butterflies.

My heart goes out to you all.

    Love and purrs always,
    Seville
