A Big Announcement, The Paddling Pool & Our Summer Block Buster on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 258 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!

Furstly let's get on with the big announcement, a few of mew will know that a couple of weeks ago the P.A. posted in a FB cat blogger group that The Pet Parade needed a new main host as Rascal & Rocco are taking a bit of time off, and rather than let the Pet Parade slip into the oblivion of deepest, darkest space the P.A. asked if anyone would like to come on-board and be the main host.

AND The Dash Kitten Crew said they'd love to be the main host, as of next Friday Marjorie and the pawesome Dash Kitten Crew will be our new main hosts, how exciting is that? Epically exciting fur sure, thank mew Marjorie fur joining the PP team!

We'd like to say a furry speshal thank mew to Leah with Rascal and Rocco fur hosting the PP all these years and asking us to be a co-host way, way back in 2014, guys mew're pawesome and we do hope mew enjoy your blogging break but know we are looking forward to your return to the blog'o'sphere in the future.

So there'll be a few changes to the PP in coming weeks, and we're all supurr excited to continue Rascal & Rocco's legacy and keep the tradition going, so we hope that mew'll all stick with us here at BB HQ, The Dash Kitten Crew and Barking from the Bayou as mew know how much we love your company!

It's still supurr scorchio here and today we've got temperatures of 33+ Celsius, it's so humid and feels likes there's no air.  In fact the P.A. is waiting fur delivery on a paddling pool fur herself and dad because it's just too hot now, and the old pool they had sprung a leak a few years ago and had to go get recycled into something new.

Eric and Flynn's fabulous Mum asked if we could take a few of the puzzles off the Puzzle Page - link below - as it's loading a little slow!  Yes we can indeed and we will take several off this weekend, and thank mew furry much fur bringing that to our attention, it was greatly appreciated. So if mew haven't had chance to do them, don't panic, they'll all still be at Jigsaw Planet and we'll put the direct link at the top of the page when we modify it in the next day or so.

In other news, we're busy writing our latest epically epic Summer Bock Buster fur mew and hopefully if all goes to plan we'll start sharing the furst part of that in the second week of August. The format might be a little different from previous ones as at the moment I don't think there'll be as many pictures due to the P.A. being beyond swamped at wurk - yep mew know what I said to that don't mew - this is exactly what I said. "I can't believe mew're so selfish that mew're going to deprive our pawesome readers of pictures!"

She said. "Basil, I am very sorry about that and will endeavour to do what I can at the time!"

REALLY!????? PFFFFFFFFFFFT

I can see we're going have to get some new staff again! MOL  And on that note, let's get our best bib and tucker on and ready to join in The Pet Parade!

and if mew're still bored get our free colouring books below:

Parsley will be here tomorrow with another Pet Peeves post and then we'll be back with our usual selfie selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then, in the meantime we wish mew all an epic weekend

Still No Rain, Can Mew Help With The New Book Blurb? & Smooch Finally Gets His Own Post on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 257 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!

Mew may remember last week that we were all geared up fur doing our speshal rain dance ceremony, well we did get some rain but only a fine drizzle fur about 15 minutes on Monday evening.  So aftur much deliberation on where we went wrong we've decided to try again this weekend only really upping the ante - more drums, more chanting, more dancing, burning more herbs, and partaking in way more of the nip peace pipe to honour The Rain Gods, The Ancestors and whoeffur else might need a bit of honouring!

We're not looking fur a Biblical flood or the like [our ark isn't quite ready], just a nice gentle pitter patter of rain fur a few hours.

In other news, which I'm finding purrticularly exciting; is that I'm just in the process of having the cover redone fur my original book, Basil the Bionic Cat and the furst proof is absolutely so exciting it makes my fur quiver just thinking about tit

So now I need some new and exciting book blurb fur the back cover and I was wundering if any of our pawesome furriends who have already read it, have any ideas as I need 4 or so really tempting and teasing sentences?

Mew see my dilemma, so if any of mew have any fav parts of the book do let me know and purrhaps I can devise something from your helpful suggestions.

Thanks so much!

>^.^<

And finally mew may remember last Caturday on Parsley's latest Pet Peeves - link below - that Smooch really had his boggle bugged because he suddenly realised that he didn't have a post all of his furry own and we asked mew our pawesome pals and readers what kind of post Smooch should have and mew gave us some really great idea's though Marvelous Marv suggested a travel post and then Gracie & Ava aka MeowMeowMans took it one step further and suggested...

SMOOCH AROUND THE WURLD

...and then HRH Princess Erin added that it could include: sports/activities section, maybe a magazine style post? Tanks Torpedo's and the Modern Cat, that sort of thing!

So thank mew all furry much, Smooch is best purrleased that he's finally got his own post and he'll be off Smooching Around The Wurld; though it may take a while to figure out the finer details, but he will be with mew as soon as he has something supurr fun to share.

Pandora will be here tomorrow with another Fashion with Felines post and then we'll be back with our usual selfie selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then, in the meantime we wish mew all an epic weekend

Bestest purrs and big hugs

Friday The 13th, Will It Effur Rain Again & Cat Fest London on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 257 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade Blog Hop and our weekly news round up!

Did mew know it's Friday the 13th today? Now we're vaguely supurrstitious here, though most of it falls by the wayside but there are some things we take heed of such as:

Not walking under ladders, well that's more fur purrsonal safety rather than supurrstition! MOL

If the P.A. knocks the salt pot offur, we make her throw a pinch [sack] of salt offur her shoulder.

We do not allow the P.A. to do any washing whatsoeffur on New Years Day, as supposedly mew wash away all your future luck fur the coming year.

And finally as it is Friday the 13th we have banned her from doing anything other than being wrapped up in a bubble-suit and staying confined to one room in the house and no, she's not allowed to do anything - well mew know how she is! MOL MOL
Mew may remember on Mondays post that we gave mew a little weather report/update [see Gardening with Cats link below] well it's been weeks and weeks since we had any rain, our water butts are nearly empty now so it looks like drastic action is needed.  We, aka all The B Team had a little meeting and decided that we needed to do a rain-dance, so this evening guess what?  Yep we're getting geared up, the drums are coming out and we will be honouring the Rain Gods, The Ancestors and The Great Goddess Bast in style; though funnily enough, we had to do the same thing in 2016 at the end of July, so wish us luck in getting some precipitation to fall MOL

This is what we looked like back then, with Angels Humphrey, Snowie and Posie... and yes we did get some rain aftur!

In other news, the P.A. and Dad were going to London tomorrow fur the furry furst Cat Fest, but it's too hot, the Wimbledon tennis finals are on and President Trump is in town so an extra gazillion police officers are about to quell any protests that make occur while he's here.

So many apologies that we won't be able to give mew a full report from Cat Fest, though our supurr buddies at www.katzenworld.com will hopefully be there, so we'll share the link to their Cat Fest experience when it goes live.

I was quite annoyed they decided not to go, but it'll be so horribly busy and sweaty down in the Big Smoke that really I can't blame them, much nicer to amble around the garden in Mewton-Clawson! MOL

It's HOT HOT HOT, The Catnip Crop Is Drying & Where Cats Roam on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 255 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!

It is absolutely SCORCHIO here, it's fantastic although we could do with some regular rainfall between the hours of 12am to 5am nightly as some of our trees are shedding leaves its that dry.

So what's been happening in Mewton-Clawson we hear mew ask... well the runner beans have been decimated by slugs & snails and the peas are not that great either, don't ask about the tomatoes or lettuce and definitely not the purple broccoli. The P.A. has bought some extra slug traps which mew fill with beer, yep those slugs & snails are going to get mightily drunk, though sadly it's too late fur this years crop, but at least we'll be ready fur next year and the P.A. is going to make a new veg garden down the side of the house where it gets all the afternoon sun, so we'll be sharing that with mew when she gets started on it.

And this is what we've been doing all week in rotation! MOL

In other news the furst cut of catnip is drying under the carport, we've got four big bunches hanging and we're nearly ready fur a second cut once the flowers are out.

If mew're getting low on your catnip stash mew know where to come.

So it seems the veg garden is a total bust this year but the catnip crop is definitely bumper! MOL

Also before we pop off, we got an email the other day from the fab peeps at GoCompare asking if we would share this fun graphic from their blog post called: Where Cats Roam, and taking a look at it how could we say no! MOL

Mew can see the entire post at their blog [link below], it's pawesome!
