Supurr Monday greetings beautiful furiends
We do hope mew had a pawesome weekend, and if mew missed Pandora's Purrfect selfie yesterday, go check it out as we couldn't believe what an epic picture she took!
We're continuing with our fun crystal series again, and today's question was sent by DM on Instagram from Tara a couple of weeks ago, and her question was: What is smoky quartz good for? It's just purrfect because funnily enough, we'd already decided on having it as crystal of the week.
Crystal of The Week
&
What is smoky quartz good for?
Smoky quartz is such a beautiful gemstone.
It comes in all shades of rich browns, some are very deep in colour, going to almost black and others can be almost clear. They can be tinged with yellow or goldish tones too.
Here at BBHQ, we have tumble stones - top right picture, some of the obelisks - bottom right, and a few multi-terminated clusters, and some elestial specimens. One of which has a small bubble or pocket of water in, these particular crystals are called enhydros.
So let's tell mew a bit about the gem lore surrounding these lovely rich-toned stones. Smoky quartz is purported to be an excellent stone for grounding or earthing, and there are other ways to do this, which we talked about it here. It also appurrently resonates with the base chakra and would be great to use in a meditation purractice as it assists in raising your vibration, and it's supposedly a great stress reliever.
If mew're looking for a protective stone that absorbs negativity and apparently geopathic stress/electrical smog too, this would be purrfect for that. They are great dotted around the house, obviously out of the way of small inquisitive paws though! MOL
In some books we've read, they say that smoky quartz assists with bringing a sense of emotional calmness and helps alleviate feelings of depression, negating negative patterns and helping to boost pawsitivity.
Smoky quartz is also said to help with manifestation; if mew're planning things this stone may help with focus, and keeping mew grounded as mew wurk towards your goals.
It's a really gorgeous stone, and the P.A. doesn't leave home without her smoky quartz bracelet; she loves it.
Melvyn was really fascinated by this smoky quartz flame; it's called a flame because of the carving style; if mew look closely, mew'll see it does resemble a flame. Anyhoo this is our smoky quartz flame at BBHQ, it is a little darker in places than the picture suggests, and as mew can see a lot is happening inside the crystal structure. The P.A. says it's quite incredible to use a really bright torch and a magnifying glass to look inside the crystals - it's really amazing what mew might see.
If mew're looking for a crystal to add to your collection, this one would be epic as it's a gorgeous stone to have.
Many thanks for DM'ing us Tara, and we hope that answered your question.

Breathe in
Breathe out
Breathe in
Breathe out
Breathe in
Breathe out
