Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ & Happy Good Friday!
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and do take a seat if mew not sitting already, as I actually went outside for the first time in months.
I know, totally shocking isn't it?
I didn't stay outside long as my fleece blanky was calling my name and mew know I need extra catnaps now, but I will say I did enjoy getting out of the house.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. I hope the Easter bunny brings me ______________________.
2. I don’t want the Easter bunny to bring me any ____________________
3. I can’t believe I didn’t think to _________ until recently.
4. Mother Nature really needs to _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. I hope the Easter Bunny brings me a dark chocolate egg! LOL
2. I don’t want the Easter bunny to bring me any drama, or unexpected guests! LOL As I'm planning on painting and pressure-washing stuff, if the weather is good.
3. I can’t believe I didn’t think to put my veg garden down the side of the house until recently. It's a narrow strip between the house and next doors fence, it's a dead, nothing space, so I'm planning on putting a couple of narrow raised beds and seeing how stuff grows there.
4. Mother Nature really needs to give us some warms for the weekend.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...

Splat the Cat: Where's the Easter Bunny?
by
Rob Scotton
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
It's almost Easter, and Splat knows exactly what he wants from the Easter Bunny--a really big Easter egg. But where is the Easter Bunny? Lift the flaps and help Splat search for him at the park, in the den, and all around town!
Today I'm sharing a really cute Easter book from Rob Scotton, the author of Splat the Cat. Mew know I thought I'd reviewed some of these books before but I just checked and I haven't, and that totally freaks me out! MOL
But anyhoo, better late than never is what I always say.
So Splat the Cat books are for much younger readers, pre-schoolers and there are oodles of picture books and I Can Read books in the Splat series.
This one is really cute, the graphics are really fun and have interactive flaps to lift for little mittens to explore further.
These books are only 16 pages long, so the story is condensed but is still long enough to be engaging for younger minds.
A purrfect easter gift for younger children, nieces, nephews and grandkids.
If mew need a gift for a much younger reader, Splat the Cat is where it's at!

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Happy Easter to all my lovely readers.
Until next time...

Our boys loved those interactive books when they were wee ones. We had a lot of them. Some got worn out, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat little proposed newer garden area might be a great use of the space. If its sheltered and shady there are lots of veggies and other plants that would thrive there. But since you love to garden you likely already know that, tee-hee!
That sounds a lovely book for the little ones.
ReplyDeleteWell done on getting some fresh air, Amber! We went to Dorset for a few days and 2 out of 3 days were good weather. We went to Chesil Beach because there was only a light breeze, but by the time we walked up the wooden pathway to the top of the pebble ridge it was blowing a hooley!
Amber, you are a brave kitty to go outside. I love to get a sunpuddle when they come around.
ReplyDeleteYou have a fun book that Lynn could read while holding me. Thanks fur the review. Happy Happy Easter. Precious
The weather is unpredictable in Spring, Amber...here's hoping the warms come to stay soon.
ReplyDeleteAmber I'm glad you got to go outside, even for a short time. I'm sure it was refreshing! That sounds like a cute book for young kids!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some fresh air Amber. Thank you to the PA for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I hope you get to do what you want on Easter. Amber, I love that book. I have a copy and it is out waiting for my great-nieces to enjoy on Easter day. I hope the Easter bunny brings you all nip infused eggs. XO
ReplyDeleteHow cool you went out n' about sweet Amber. Those were good fill-in answers, I hope you get that egg. That book sounds really cute, thanks for the review. Thanks too for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOur Tripod SissyCat loves being on the front porch. When she lived at her old places, she was mostly outdoors and got in fights and had a hard life, so she sits on the porch and stays there, she knows a good place when she has it, and comes in when called. She's smarter than some people i know! MOL
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of not-quite-year-old babies i know, and this book sounds like it will be the perfect Easter gift for them next year when they are old enough to be able to enjoy a book somewhat.
Thank you so much for joining Feline Friday!
