Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and I've had quite a leisurely week so far.
The other day, we were scrolling through the camera roll the other day and the P.A. found this cute photo of me. She'd given me a tiara and had been trying to take a photo, but I just wasn't having it! MOL
I can't believe how young and vibrant I looked in 2018. And just look at cheeky Smooch in the background trying to hide and look all inconspicuous!
I'm really starting to show my age now, but it's ok as I know I'm still epically epic and the best library cat in the cosmos! MOL
1. My favorite character from a film, TV, or book is _________.
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is _________.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you _________.
4. _________ will never compare with _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. My favorite character from a film, TV, or book is _________. I have too many favourites in all mediums but from the film genre, the ones that instantly spring to mind as I've just watched them, and it's really hard to choose, but I did like Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada, and Jack Nicolson's character in As Good As It Gets. I also like Keanu Reeves's character in John Wick. There are too many to choose from!
2. The one word I would use to describe myself is possibly eccentric.
3. If I had to give you my best piece of advice, I would tell you to do what you want for your career and don't ever be pushed/coerced/forced into doing something that someone else thinks is right for you, that is of course unless you think it's something that you'd like to do.
4. Most shop bought cakes will never compare with a homemade one, but sometimes it does come close! LOL
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...

Cat Under Fire
A Joe Grey Mystery Book 2
by
Shirley Rousseau Murphy
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
A big, powerful, gray feline, Joe Grey is perfectly content with his remarkable ability to understand and communicate with humans - especially now that he has company. A mysterious accident similar to the one that enabled him to speak and read has transformed his friend Dulcie as well. The trouble is, the cute tabby female not only hears human words, she believes them.
Now she's convinced the man who was jailed for murdering a famous local artist and burning down her studio is innocent - simply because he says so - and she's willing to do whatever it takes to dig up the evidence that will exonerate the accused. Joe would much prefer just lazing around the house doing kitty things, but the lady cat is determined
Mew know I really thought I'd reviewed the first Joe Grey Mystery a long time ago, it is called Cat on The Edge, but I've searched everywhere for the review and there isn't one, so perhaps I had planned to review it and then another book ended up taking its place at the last minute?
I've just checked my library and I do have the first book, but I can't remember it right now, so I'll add that to the current season's list, and feature it soon.
So today I'm reviewing book two, Cat Under Fire, and I'm sure many of mew will already be well acquainted with this series as book one first appeared in1996.
Our kitty hero Joe Grey can speak and understand human language, he has a girlfriend named Dulcie who also shares some of his gifts. Obviously, there's much to catch up on in book one and lots of background info I've missed by starting here, but that aside book two was supurr enjoyable.
The murder mystery plot is very well crafted and paced, and there's a plethora of characters to meet. It was such an easy listen as the narrator was superb and really brought the story to life as the plot thickened and the pressure to solve the murder ramps up, as time is running out.
I pretty much listened to it in two sittings while in the catservatory, my only gripe is I didn't start earlier as it was so enjoyable. If I had known how much I was going to enjoy this book I would have started the series years ago! MOL
This is a supurr long series with twenty-one books in total, so it will definitely keep me going for a while.
If mew haven't read it, do, as I'm sure mew'll really enjoy it. And if mew have an Audible account sixteen books in the series are included with your subscription for free.

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Stop by tomorrow as we're re-running all of our Easter Crafting with Cats projects in the run-up to our latest crafting bonanza going live in a couple of weeks.
Until next time...
